We take you on a fascinating journey through the evolution of men’s fashion — from the birth of the three-piece suit worn by Charles II in the seventeenth century to the flamboyant macaronis of the eighteenth century, the refined elegance of Beau Brummell and the Victorian dandies of the nineteenth, and finally to the expressive styles of the twentieth century. Along the way, we explore the Oxford bags, Zoot suits, Teddy Boys, Mods, Rockers, Punks, New Romantics, and today’s ever-shifting world of streetwear, workwear, and leisurewear — revealing how each era redefined style and self-expression.
Our experience begins in St. James’s, where we delve into the rich heritage of Jermyn Street and the world-renowned tailoring houses of Savile Row, uncovering the craft and structure behind timeless suits. We then make our way to Soho and Covent Garden, visiting iconic shops known for their clothing, colognes, and shoes steeped in history and artistry. With engaging conversations with knowledgeable staff and an introduction to vintage menswear, you’ll gain insight into how classic style continues to evolve while staying enduringly relevant. The tour lasts four to five hours, with an additional hour for refreshments — you may choose between breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and canapés, or a light dinner, arranged according to your preference.

Lovely helpful staff thank u

Great people to deal with. Recently purchased a Saddle and dealt with Jamie, he was amazing to deal with, he came to my yard and brought saddles with him, unfortunately the ones he brought didn't fit my horse but came back out with another size and fitted it perfectly to my horse. Was extremely helpful with all questions I had, would highly recommend, and to top if off the saddle is extremely comfortable

Always a fantastic experience ⭐️ My partner recently ordered an inhand bridle mistakenly as a present, we went instore to exchange it for the correct leather headcollar. The staff were so pleasant and made an exchange with no issues. The headcollar which was customised with an engraved nameplate arrived promptly despite being the week before Xmas and is of beautiful quality. I have two Berney’s saddles including a custom made one and will continue to use them for any of my saddlery needs.

I bought a jacket online that didn't fit and brought it back to the store. The staff were really nice and did all they could to help. Lovely store with lots of interesting aspects. In a day of mass production it was fascinating to still see people hand working leather saddlery, a hidden gem.
