Amazing place who food & Fado music intertwined in a true art 🫶 We were on a beautiful tasting tour in the Douro region but on the last night in Porto we could not miss such a beautiful and typical place, the singers were really well prepared🎸🪕🎤👏👏👏

Fado is a very popular musical genre in Portugal where the songs are about loss, despair, yearning. There are many Restaurants that cater to the tourists with dinner and a Fado show. We arrived at 8:30pm and we were offered some bread, olives and white wine and red wine. The music starter at about 9:30pm in 3 sets. We had the first course salads or clams in garlic sauce followed by the first set. Each set was about 5 songs sung by one male and one female singer with 3 supporting musician’s. The second course was a choice of cod, pork or baked vegetables Au gratin for the vegetarians. Then there was the second set followed by desert and the third and final set. Desert was a choice of fresh pineapple slices or a strawberry tart WHICH was delicious. We ended at about 11:30pm

Amazing experience, lovely waiters and staff. Fado music was great to hear. However it was a lot more expensive than most places in Porto, we knew this going in but we did see one couple walk out when they saw prices. We just took it as paying for the amazing music. Would recommend if in Porto.

5 stars just for the service, Al and his colleagues were wonderful. Food was really good. I strongly recommend the octopus and salmon main courses. The scallop appetizer was very good as well, aside from the raw salad which seemed unnecessary and tasted a bit bitter. The raspberry cheesecake was enjoyable and so was the alcoholic beverage selection. The show was decent. All in all a very pleasant experience.

We had a fantastic experience a O Fado! We came for dinner looking forward to the Fado performance and neither disappointed. The food was delicious served in generous portions. The staff were very friendly and diligent. Once the Fado started, the whole atmosphere was filled with awe. That night we saw three performers singing along talented musicians. They played several sets of songs and in between the service continued. We were there for over two hours, until the end, so we treated ourselves to a great night.
