We are currently staying at this property, and unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing so far. We booked a “sea-view” room, but the view is almost non-existent. When we asked reception about it, they simply said the hotel was fully booked, even though that does not seem to be the case. There are frequent power outages, leaving us in complete darkness multiple times a day with no communication or support from staff. The room has almost no insulation — you can see sunlight through the gaps between the wall planks, and there is zero soundproofing. The worst issue is the bathroom: we are on the first floor, and whenever the guest upstairs takes a shower, water leaks through our ceiling like a waterfall. Despite having a two-night reservation, we received a check-out email on our first morning, which added to the confusion. I do not recommend.

Amazing spot. Really good to relax. Great cabana, super super clean. Props to housekeeping and the front desk staff, as well to the owner thanks for opening a spot for us. Amazing amazing amazing beautiful Bacalar. Thank you so much

We booked a "lake side view room" at a handsome cost to be given a villa with a view of a wall, no privacy by the road. The unscrupulous owner refused any refund when we highlighted it was unacceptable. "Non-refundable". No apologies or attempts to make any amendments. We then try to relax by the lake to overcome this trauma to discover it has non stop boat traffic coming within meters of the swimming platform. Making relaxing or swimming a very non relaxing experience. Our recommendation - avoid this vendor!

MISLEADING AND UNPLEASANT STAY - AVOID THIS PROPERTY We booked a "King Room with Lake View," but the room had no lake view—only a wall by the road. The room was clean but basic, with unreliable internet and poor privacy, as it was next to the reception. The constant noise from the road, and ongoing construction of four new cabins made it impossible to relax. Relaxing on the platform is impossible too because all the tour boats come to this pier to look at a stream coming out of the rock, making you feel like an animal in a zoo being watched by visitors. To make matters worse, the constant passing of boats and jet skis makes swimming here unsafe and unpleasant. The evening receptionist didn’t speak any English and showed no interest in guest well-being. This place feels like a money machine with no regard for customer service. We tried to cancel after realizing the room didn’t match the description, but the owner refused to accept our cancellation, forcing us to stay. This was an incredibly stressful experience. If you decide to book, make sure beforehand that you receive the room you pay for.

The hotel is nice and staff are friendly but it’s really not a great place if you want to stay quiet next to water!!! This location is in reality a tourist spot or should I rather say a speedway of tourists boat tour coming less that 2m away from your table or long chair every 5 minutes. This makes you feel like you are yourself an attraction in zoo. Some are even not turning off the music. They don’t hesitate to push you if you’re swimming on the way !!! I let you imagine also the pick of pollution when you swim with all this boat traffic. Forget the nice snorkelling or jumping in the water you will hurt you to boats in the best case !!
