At the check in I explained that my girlfriend is super allergic to cats. The person at the front desk told me he understands. Instead of giving me a room he told me to pit down my things and he will guard them for me. When I came back I realized he put the bag exactly where the cata sits. I EXPLAINED TO HIM CLEARLY THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM! In addittion the hotel responds to WhatsApp when they like ignoring them at their convenience and blocking calls even when ai can't find the hotel. In addittion they include a 30 peso per person sanitation fee that they do not specify on booking.com thereby violating booking.com policies Poor service and disregard to the customer.
Our first experience unfortunately wasn't so nice. The receptionist at night was a non Mexican lady that was quite high on weed or something else. We did the check-in and when I asked a question she asked me if I spoke Spanish. We literally had been speaking for Spanish for 5 minutes before that. Then we asked where we can park the car, she told us upfront and when we parked there she said you can't park there and when we asked her to show us she seemed very annoyed that she had to got out and show us. We even found her phone that same night in front of the hostel and gave it to the reception lol. The rooms are quite small for 2 people with luggage but look nice from the outside. There are lots of cats running around that I think is important info to put ito the description. As someone with a cat allergy ist quite important to know. The nature in the hostel is beautiful and besides the lady the guy who I think was the owner and the Mexican lady were very friendly. However the first impression was quickly ruined by that lady..
This is the best value stay in Tulum. Clean, safe and inexpensive. Their bike and scooter rentals are the cheapest. Yes there is a local tax, it was mentioned in my booking so no problem. Instagram worthy spaces.

I love it at Tubo! First, the tubes are cool. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, they place is nice and clean. Also, there are little personal touches and art that make the place feel unique and special. And I couldn’t say enough good things about the staff, so kind and helpful, and just genuinely great people. I definitely recommend asking them for ideas of where to eat and other cool local hangouts. I will definitely be back one day :)
