We had a wonderful stay at Terrabona Nature & Vineyards. Located in a super quiet and tranquil location this place was the ideal location to end our trip to Madeira Island. Maria and Marco were the best hosts ever. The villas are integrated into the vineyard and ensure privacy and relaxation. Once a week there’s an optional dinner with the other guests which we enjoyed a lot. But at some point we had to leave this wonderful place with heavy hearts. But we’ll be back next time we’re on the island, that’s for sure! Thanks for the hospitality, Maria and Marco!

Terrabona Wine Tasting exceeded all our expectations. Marco and his wife, Maria, truly know their craft and take care of their guests at the highest level. The wine tasting felt like a real celebration – each wine was paired with carefully selected delicacies that perfectly enhanced the flavours. Drinking wine while enjoying the stunning views of the mountains and the ocean was simply unforgettable. The entire place is run with great attention to detail and a deep respect for the environment. A wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone visiting Madeira!

Terrific way to spend two hours on a Sunday afternoon. The property is gorgeous and Marco and Maria have thought of everything. Their wine is unique which is to say you might not have experienced some of the profile complexities but they hold up in their own right. The care and attention to their guests and the experience are bar none. Don't let the cramped drive or roads deceive you! It's well worth the effort. Particularly enjoyable was the small amuse bouche pairings of local foods that in many cases completely brought out the flavour profile of the wines we tasted. The thoughtfulness in this regard was well done and achieved the result. Furthermore, Marco and Maria have been very intentional with their wine tasting offering. The group was small, that is to say 8 people on our visit, allowing for each couple in our case to grab an area or seating apart so that we could enjoy the experience on our own. Very emblematic of their entire philosophy for the villa guest experience. Maria and Marco are very personable and take the time to answer questions, converse and have a genuine exchange. We only wish we could have had dinner with them, as this would have been a delightful experience. Fully recommend checking out their little but mighty vineyard! Thank you from Tom & Mireille
