We (three ladies) had an amazing cycling tour with our guide Chris on the Via Appia Antica including the catacombs and lunch. The trip was definitely worth it. The route is scenic and the cycling was fun. But first of all Chris made the tour very special with all his insights he gave us, also in a very fun way. Thank you so much Chris!!! Next time we are back, we would love to do another tour with you! The tour exceeded out expectation.
We booked a group E-bike sunset tour with pizza and it ended up just myself and my fiancée with our incredible guide Paulo. We loved our Appian way and aqueducts tour tour with Chris, he was so knowledgeable and friendly. He was also very relaxed, allowed us lots of stops to take photos and ask questions. This tour is a MUST if you are visiting Rome, allows you to see a completely different side of Rome and escape the crowds! When I’m back in Rome I will 100% do another tour with Roma StarBike
We stayed in Rome for 3.5 days, and this was BY FAR my whole family's favorite thing we did during our stay. We did the 5 hour Ancient Appian Way Bike Tour including Catacombs, Aqueducts, and Brunch on September 11, 2025. It was well worth the money! The bikes were in excellent condition. There were several stops along the way where our wonderful tour guide Alex would tell us interesting stories about the history of the particular site we were stopped at. The catacombs tour was very cool, and the "brunch" was beyond our expectations! We stopped at a small country club type restaurant where we had the best pasta we ate during our visit to Rome. Our guide Alex was funny, friendly, and very easy to understand. We loved him! Our experience was incredible, and I would recommend this bike tour to anyone visiting Rome!
Biking along the Ancient Appian Way was by far my favorite experience in Rome. The bike route was beautiful, the history fascinating and the company delightful. Alex was an amazing and attentive guide, ensuring that all levels of skill were supported. I’m not much of a biker, but he helped me feel confident and improve! I didn’t fall once! Alex is also very passionate about the subject matter and was a great teacher. As a tentative biker, I will say that there were some challenging parts for me, but nothing that felt unsafe or too hard! Overall a fantastic experience!
