Located right across from Brixton Underground station. To be honest, I would expect something more greater than just a mural in memory of one of the greatest musicians in the world. And don’t get fooled, it says that inside the store will be things to buy with David Bowie(merch) but there was only 2 tote bags and 2 mugs available for £20+ each. It’s not worth it in my opinion.

Unfortunately I didn't find the location. When I arrived following the map as Google said there was no memorial, but an architectural company instead...of course closed on Sunday morning, so I haven’t someone to asking about.

A great memorial to one of the most famous musuc artists.

In Brixton, South London, there is a vibrant and heartfelt memorial dedicated to the legendary musician David Bowie, who spent part of his childhood in the area. The David Bowie Memorial in Brixton is located near the Brixton Underground station, on Tunstall Road. The memorial, which was unveiled shortly after Bowie's passing in January 2016, consists of a striking mural featuring Bowie's iconic lightning bolt motif from his album cover for "Aladdin Sane." Created by Australian street artist Jimmy C, the mural captures Bowie's distinctive persona and enduring legacy. The mural quickly became a focal point for fans and admirers of Bowie, who flocked to Brixton to pay their respects and celebrate the life and music of the beloved artist. Over time, the memorial has evolved into a colorful and dynamic tribute, adorned with flowers, messages, and tokens of appreciation left by visitors from around the world. In addition to the mural, there is also a nearby plaque commemorating Bowie's connection to Brixton and acknowledging his lasting impact on music and culture. The David Bowie Memorial in Brixton serves as a poignant reminder of Bowie's enduring influence and his special connection to the neighborhood where he spent his formative years. It continues to be a place of pilgrimage for fans and a symbol of Brixton's vibrant and diverse community.

Beautiful piece of art and hommage to Bowie right in front of Brixton tube station (Bowie grew up in Brixton) . Have a stroll in the amazing cover market as well. Amazing places for coffee, lunch vintage and shopping there.
