My husband and I completed the 6 day Mount Kenya hike (Chogoria - Sirimon route). From our first communication with Evans we were impressed with Go To Mount Kenya. Our guide, Charles, was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about the mountain, wildlife, vegetation and Kenya. Boniface cooked the most amazing meals for us. Our strong, friendly and kind porters (Dennis, Peter, John and Gabriel) supported us on the way. The hike was absolutely stunning. I recommend using Go To Mount Kenya for this bucket list adventure and ask for Charles to be your guide.

Go To Mount Kenya Climbing is the best company out there for climbing Mount Kenya. Everything about this small, locally-owned business, has top-notch. The entire team of guides and porters, drivers, and management is a pleasure to work with. I climbed both to Lenana Point and to Batian Peak and both were absolutely perfect experiences. The trek to Lenana Point with two family members was a journey to remember with us arriving at the summit moments before sunrise. The technical climb the following day to Batian Peak was the most unique mountaineering and rock climbing experience I've had. It was amazing! Josephat was our trekking guide and ensured we were safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He also took us to one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've seen on Day 2. John was my technical guide for the climb and he was very knowledgable and protected our climb to keep both of us safe on the way up and the rappel down. Daniel the chef cooked five-star meals throughout the trip. Simon was the driver and drove safely, but efficiently to get us back to Nairobi after the climb. It was a pleasure working with Josephat, John, Daniel, Simon, and the entire team! I must emphasize that if you want to do Batian Peak, you must have good rock climbing experience. It's 22 pitches (many can be simul-climbed if you are comfortable) and 5.9 on the American/Yosemite rating system. We moved very fast--I was John's second-fastest climber ever by five only minutes, and the climbing and rappelling still took almost 10 hours, in addition to the approach. I highly recommend Go To Mount Kenya Climbing--you can't beat the experience or the price!
