Embark on an unforgettable journey to Aberdare National Park, a breathtaking wilderness where nature’s beauty and wildlife thrive in perfect harmony. This unique safari offers an incredible opportunity to explore the park’s vast, mist covered forests, searching for the majestic herds of elephants, powerful buffaloes, and the elusive leopards that roam these lush, mountainous landscapes. Aberdare National Park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, from the deep forests to the moorlands, providing the ideal setting to witness an array of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Your stay during this adventure is a perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature, with a combined experience at two exceptional accommodations. First, enjoy a stay at the Aberdare Country Club, nestled in a tranquil setting and offering its own private conservancy, where you can enjoy exclusive game viewing in a peaceful and unspoiled environment. The club's intimate atmosphere, with its beautiful grounds and the surrounding natural beauty, provides an ideal retreat after a day of exploring the park.

The highlight of your stay, however, will be at the iconic Noah’s Ark like hotel, a truly unique structure that offers a one of a kind lodging experience. Designed to resemble the Biblical Ark, the hotel offers panoramic views of the surrounding forest and wildlife. Its strategic location ensures that guests have front row seats to witness the park's diverse animal life, especially at the watering hole, where elephants, buffaloes, and other animals come to drink. The Ark’s viewing deck provides a peaceful and scenic vantage point, allowing you to relax and observe the wildlife in action as they gather below.

A beautiful park where you may or not come across wildlife. But if you like animals is best to sleep at The Ark Lodge so you can see them from very close as there's a waterhole in front of the lodge where elephants, bushbucks, hyenas and other animals come to drink. If you like mountain atmosphere with chilly weather and beautiful altitude rainforest that's your place! Many hikes available especially in the highlands area, the Dragons Teeth hike is definitely a must! Very scenic!

Entry fee for three adults and one vehicle came up to be $271 USD for non-residents (while residents of pay 1/4th of that price). Animals are there but not in abundance. We did see a hyena, a few dinkas, a warthog, random gazelle (and impalas?), etc. never saw an elephant but their droppings are plentiful. We camped near the fishing lodge and was about 50 F at night so bundle up (Oct 18-19). Scenes are good, pretty stunning. Checking out took us 30 minutes bc we bought our vehicle registration on E citizen and the tickets at the gate bc there was a glitch. Lots of confusion when checking in and out. Overall a great place to check out as an American. Ps. We drove from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha before hitting up the park. The police pulled us over and shook us down for 10,000 KES. We should have negotiated for 500-1000 KES so be careful driving outside of Nairobi— especially in one spot.

Waited at the gate (Treetops Gate) for too long, thanks to beaurocracy from the park rangers. Sad that foreigners who came after us, were allowed in faster than citizens. Best time to go is early morning if you want to see the animals. Only saw Buffalo, Warthogs and Elephants which constantly avoid being seen. Also, Northern part of the park is only accessible by appointment. Not impressed at all.

I hiked to the highest point at Oldonyo Lesatima peak and it was absolutely breathtaking. The views at the summit were stunning. The hike to the summit was moderately challenging but the incredible scenery made it worthwhile. This hike is a must do for people looking for a challenge, diverse scenic views and landscapes.

I am always amazed by the beauty of my beautiful country 😍 I love waterfalling but Aberdare National Park has my heart on this Beautiful waterfalls and serene nature 😎😎 My second time there and I was amazed how the vegetation has grown and a large number of elephants have been migrating there so chances seeing a herd of them is very high Loved the experience 😁😁 definitely visiting again
