I was shocked by the disgraceful behavior of a female immigration officer at Suvarnabhumi Airport. She spoke to me with open hostility, raising her voice as if I were a child she was scolding—completely unprovoked and entirely unprofessional. She had no manners or class. Thailand is known globally for its hospitality and kindness, but this officer’s toxic attitude does the exact opposite. When someone in uniform treats foreigners like this at the national border, it doesn’t just reflect on her—it sends a message about how Thailand sees its guests. Her behavior risks becoming the face of Thai manners for international travelers. If this is the type of welcome Thailand offers, it contradicts every value the country claims to uphold. One person like her is enough to damage the image and reputation of an entire nation. I will never be returning to Thailand. Attaching her picture here not out of malice, but because accountability matters—and travelers deserve to know what kind of treatment they might face.

I’m international student currently study at Lovely Professional University(Punjab,India) and I’m Myanmar citizen,I arrived Suwanabhumi Airport at 18.05.2025(Sunday)for a vacation, not only I have my plans on return ticket back to India but current situation in Punjab is not stable but also there is a civil war in my Country. So my plan is to stay at Thailand for 1 or 2 weeks and change to another country when I still got 3 months Summer holiday. But I got deported due to a reason I can’t finish booking my return ticket in 10 Minutes,I have no SIM card,No DATA,only airport free Wi-Fi that disconnected when it connected 2 mins.I beg for them to rethink the decision to make appeal but still got rejected,All I need was 5 more minutes,My kingdom guys be happy to reject your regular customer.

I got deported for no reason: came to Thailand a few times the year prior, the lady officer went on an endless rant about it and finally decided to deport me for "visiting too much" 🤡 I was forced to spend the night in a cell like a criminal before being sent back to Vietnam the following day. What a bunch of clowns these people are... By the way, detention in the international zone here violates international laws (Vienna convention article 36 - right to representation) as well as the local immigration act (right to appeal to a superior officer, right to be provided with a written notice in english detailing the reason for detention). Also they will ask you for a 1070thb fee per day for mandatory detention. I had the money but refused to pay. They eventually gave up so it's probably illegal as well. Finally, if you're traveling with Vietjet, expect no support and a lot of threats to force you to pay for detention and return flights. This is of course also completely illegal as a carrier as no authority when it comes to detention. Once it's all over. Send a written complain to your embassy, the thai ombudsman as well as the thai immigration department and Airports of Thailand Plc.

My self is Indian National and I have visited Thailand from 21/4/25 to 25/4/25 with Somans tour operators. Everything was good like tourist spots, accommodation, food, attitude from the Thailand people and Thailand culture etc but the treatment from the airport and emigration staff was very bad and arrogant. That I felt very bad. Hope the Thailand Government will look after to rectify the complaint so that more and more tourists will visit.

As a remote worker, I was initially interested in the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and had been planning to apply. Before committing, I wanted to ensure that living long-term in Thailand would be both affordable and worthwhile. To test this, I visited Thailand several times, making full use of my visa entries. However, during one of these visits, an immigration officer unexpectedly led me to a disorganized area behind the immigration counter without any explanation. There, I was informed that I needed to provide proof of sufficient cash and a return ticket. I presented my confirmed return flight and demonstrated my financial standing through bank statements from my home country, which clearly showed that I had ample funds. Despite this, the officer insisted I show a large amount of cash in Thai baht on the spot. I explained that I don’t typically carry large sums of cash for safety reasons and that I rely on various digital payment methods, such as QR codes (for Thai-prompt pay scanning), debit cards, and Alipay Plus, to handle transactions while traveling. Unfortunately, they couldn’t grasp the validity of my financial proof or the payment methods I use in Thailand. As a result, they denied my entry on the absurd grounds that I didn’t have "enough money in physical Thai baht." In today’s world, where digital transactions are the norm, it’s unreasonable to expect travelers to carry large sums of foreign currency in cash. One particular officer, a woman whose picture I have, was especially rude and hostile. She yelled at everyone in the office, making the experience unpleasant for visitors from around the globe. Numerous reviews have already highlighted the unprofessional behavior of these officers. The more they shouted and mistreated foreign travelers, the more ignorant and incompetent they appeared. In all my years of traveling, I have never encountered immigration officers as unprofessional as these. This experience with Thai immigration was, by far, the worst I’ve ever had. Ironically, it helped me make an easy decision: I will never return to Thailand. This encounter has ensured that I won’t be spending any of my money there again. Fortunately, there are plenty of other wonderful countries with courteous and logical immigration officers. Goodbye forever, Thailand.
