Visited three times in 2024 (free tickets twice) and now again in 2025. Mostly enjoyed in 2024 but everything seems to have gone up a level in 2025, and not in a good way. Very expensive (eg little light wands have gone up from €10 to €15 this year), funfair is now way too big and nearly overwhelms the area around Marlay House, and for some reason the music on the walk is now blasted on your ears, lessening the "Wonder" experience and making it more like a nightclub - my three year old didn't enjoy. The water-fan on the lake also doesn't seem to be working as well as 2024, with projections less visible. Overall if you like taking photos for Instagram go for it, but if you like value for money you may be disappointed. The only real "Wonder" at the event was the organisers asking themselves "I wonder how much more money we can get out of these families"

I went twice. First time when they just started. Price was 15€. The lights were great and the display make you feel in the mood for Christmas. Then I went a second time. 25€. It’s a bit expensive alright. For a family it’s a full budget. Food was pretty expensive too. Add to that if you need parking. Another 3€ it adds up quickly. For me, it was fun. I leave near by and no small kids with me. But I could see easily that for a family, your wallet will suffer.

The lights trail itself was really lovely and longer than expected based on the reviews I had read but disappointed that we couldn't go back the way we came through the lights which would have been very easy to accommodate and a consolation prize for those forced to park in College road car park 15 mins walk away. Why wasn't this clearly stated when booking? I felt sorry for those with young kids. The food was ridiculously expensive, 8 euro for a tiny curry chips. The Ferris wheel very expensive too, based on height rather than age so two teens 12 and 14 were charged as adults 28 euro for 4 for 3 mins. If based on the lights trail alone I'd have given a 5, everything else let it down.
