Have rented bikes from Island Bike Shop on Marco Island for several years. They are extremely easy and fun to work with. Bikes are easy to ride, accessorized (bells, helmets, locks, baskets, etc.) as desired, delivered and picked up. Love knowing they are here for my riding pleasure!
Excellent idea to rent a trike for our stay in Marco. Service was terrific…bike was smooth and solid! No fear! I felt free and even young again with no fear of falling! Not bad for an 83 yr old!
I didn't want to pack and ship my road bike so I arranged a 2 week road bike rental from Island Bike Shop. I planned to put a lot of miles on the bike during our stay on Marco (ended up being about 450 miles) so I really wanted a decent road bike and Island promised a full carbon bike with ultegra 11 shifters. I was very happy to see the Dixie Flyer frame when I arrived. An older model bike but in great condition, lightweight, and very good on the road. The 23mm tires were more narrow than on modern road bikes, and I missed having disc breaks and electronic shifting ... but manual shifting was solid and the bike was nicely tuned and maintained. I did bring my own computer, lights and pedals which I would highly recommend since the default accesories island provides are basic. Island installed my computer and pedals so I didn't need to bring any tools. If you want a solid road bike for distance riding, I highly recommend Island.
Excellent service and products. They put my basket on and bell without even being asked. Just wonderful here. I love my new Electra Bike, it’s a 7 speed and rides really nice around the island.
The bikes for my rental house needed to be tuned up, cleaned and repaired. Island Bike Shop came to my house on time, loaded them up, gave them a much needed “spa day” at the shop and returned them the next day! The price was reasonable. They called me with an estimate and description of all the work needed. They were courteous, prompt and professional and I feel good that my guests can bike safely. 10/10 highly recommend
