This private full-day tour offers an immersive journey beyond Dublin, exploring the rich tapestry of Ireland’s history, natural beauty, and coastal charm. Begin inland at Trim Castle, Ireland’s largest Anglo-Norman fortress, where the dramatic ruins tell tales of medieval life and historic battles. From there, travel through the rolling hills of County Meath and visit the Hill of Tara, a site of immense spiritual and cultural significance, once the seat of Ireland’s ancient kings.
Next, head east to the elegant Malahide Castle, set amidst lush gardens that have charmed visitors for centuries, offering a glimpse into Ireland’s aristocratic past. The tour concludes in the picturesque fishing village of Howth, where cliff-edge walks, stunning sea views, and the aroma of fresh seafood create a quintessential Irish experience.
Throughout the day, your expert guide tailors the journey to your interests, whether you’re drawn to history, nature, or the simple joy of discovering Ireland’s authentic character. This tour combines heritage, scenery, and local culture into a seamless and unforgettable adventure.

I was biking around and got the opportunity to see this amazing castle. It's inhabited by the same lineage since the XII century! I didn't go inside, it was closed apparently.

An absolutely beautiful castle from history! One of the most breathtaking castles I’ve ever had the pleasure of promenading through. Impeccably preserved, with architecture so majestic it practically curtsies as you enter. A splendid locale to bring one’s family!

Had an amazing tour of the building with Daniel. He was super knowledgeable about the building and gave us the history of the family that has lived there for over 900 years. You have to pre-book the tour but it's worth it!
Michael

A charming location to visit. It has good parking and the castle grounds are large. I was able to photograph it from all angles and its in great condition. Well worth a visit but the interior can't be accessed as its private, cheers

Took a guided architecture tour for Heritage week. The castle grounds are very beautiful, with well kept gardens and interesting stonework. The inside of the castle is very ornate with lots of pretty decorative plaster work and paintings, although most of the furniture and decorations are missing. The architectural history of the sight is very interesting and is reflected in the stone work and plaster work inside. Great work has been done on the restoration and I look forward to its opening to the public.
