Discover the charm and elegance of Buenos Aires northern suburbs on this half day private tour to Tigre Delta and San Isidro. Travel comfortably in an air conditioned vehicle as you explore some of the citys most beautiful and historic neighborhoods. Begin with a drive through Palermo, one of Buenos Aires greenest districts known for its wide parks and tree lined avenues, and continue north to Olivos, where you will have an outlook of the Presidential Residence, the official home of Argentinas president. Then visit the picturesque town of San Isidro, once home to aristocratic families during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, where you can stroll through its charming old quarter and admire the stunning neo Gothic San Isidro Cathedral, a true architectural gem
The tour continues to Tigre, a vibrant riverside town located on the edge of the Parana Delta. Here you will board a shared boat ride and cruise through the peaceful network of waterways surrounded by lush islands and traditional homes. After the ride, take time to explore Puerto de Fritos, a lively market filled with local crafts, regional products, and a warm atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the area. This experience is absolutely unique - a small boat, just like the one that the locals use in the delta (where there are no roads) takes you to the river businesses (store, gas station, school - with their boat-bus) as well as in the smallest tributaries to enjoy the silence of the wild environment, with all the birds, flora and fauna. Fernando speaks perfect English and even stops so that you can try the spa quality river mud (you won’t understand until you try it). He explains the economy, culture, and social patterns that make this place unique. We tried the pacu, wonderful fresh river fish, at the restaurant he recommended, plus the provoleta and smoked salmon, and it was all outstanding. And the view of Buenos Aires from the mouth of the delta… amazing experience. I highly recommend it!

We are so grateful to Fernando for taking us on a tour around Tigre! It was exactly what we were looking for, hearing about daily life and history in Tigre from local, taking time to appreciate the beautiful nature and being able to zip around the small canals in his Zodiac. We spent around 4 hours with Fernando, chatting, laughing and enjoying a delicious lunch of local fish - we wish we could have stayed longer, Tigre is incredible and Fernando is an incredible person!

Fernando was awesome, spoke great English, and gave me and my friends a really fun tour. Keep in mind you are basically renting a private boat for either the morning or afternoon and can do what you want. It was much more expensive ($90US per person) compared to the other tours, but we felt it was worth the price.

Fantastic day on the water with Fernando. We were treated to an in depth tour of the delta. His smaller boat allows you to get closer to the sites and access smaller and shallower waters than the bigger boats. He is also a fabulous tour guide with extensive knowledge of the area. It quite incredible that this place exists only a short distance from such a large city.

As a solo traveler I find it difficult to book a tour in Tigre but Fernando made it for me and he accepted me in his tour! This tour was the best part for me when I was in Argentina!!!! He is local and he loves to show people his area. Thank you so much for this experience!!!
