This place is a nice walk near Dublin. We covered the loop is about one and half hours, including hiking up the hill. It was an easy walk. I find it interesting that we get to hike a hill and see the a ruin (the chimney) is one visit. Car park has limited space though. We downloaded the orienteering map and tried to find the markers along the way.

Nice, easy walk with or without a dog. Few inclines , nice view . Busy at the weekends. Car parking, no other facilities.
Mairo

Really nice trails with wonderful views of the sea and surrounding mountainous landscape. It is always hard to believe that this rural place is so close to the city. Just a bit of a pity there is so much dog waste near the car park. It would be a good move to install a bin and put up a notice to ask dog owners to bin it.
Gus

Good for kids with a stroller friendly wide open main path and smaller forest trails to the sides. Great views of Dublin bay, Bray, and the Wicklow mountains. And the ancient stone tower is an interesting place to visit.
Eileen

Beautiful forest walk, amazing views over Dublin city, the coast & mountains. By the tower we heard other people talking about tunnels in the area of the led mine, we found & explored them by happy accident! Looking forward to another visit!
