Grazie mille Francesco for an amazing Truffle Hunt experience! I have greatly enjoyed a semi private truffle hunt with a truffle lunch. Not only were we in luck to find some white truffles, but we have also learned a lot about truffles, truffle hunting with dogs and life in this beautiful part of Tuscany. Lunch following the truffle hunting was a cherry on top. Francesco is a fun, welcoming and knowledgeable guide on this adventure. I highly recommend truffle hunting with Francesco and his dog Sally!

We did the truffle hunt with lunch near San Gimignano with four adults and three children in June 2025. Francesco was amazing and this was a truly unique experience, maybe our favorite tour in Tuscany! The meeting point was in the middle of nowhere next to an old building and we initially weren’t sure we found the right place. Francesco met us there in time and we drove to a beautiful rural area near San Gimignano. Our dog Sally was playful and friendly, starting digging for truffles the second she got out of the car. Francesco gave us good background and explanations. We spent about an hour walking and hunting on a very hot day and found a lot of truffles. After that we went to a farm - Agriturismo Frattoria Poggio Alloro - with gorgeous views over the valley and of San Gimignano. The farm produces wine, olive oil, cows for florentine steak and almost everything that we had for lunch. We went to see the cows (great for kids), walked around the property and had a lunch with bruschetta, Farro salad, fresh bread with locally made olive oil and of course pasta - for kids with choice of truffles vs tomato or bolognese sauce with fresh parmigiana. After that egg with more truffles and desert. We had unlimited truffles, wine and coffee. Plenty of time to go to San Gimignano after for sightseeing and gelato. Cannot thank Franceso enough for this experience and would recommend to anyone who wants to dig for truffles and experience a truly unique day in Tuscany.
