Step into the living story of Jewish heritage in Paris on a thoughtfully guided walk through the historic neighborhoods of Le Marais and Montmartre. Begin in Le Marais, long known as the heart of Jewish life in the city, where centuries of tradition, resilience, and culture come alive through its streets. With your expert guide, explore the legacy of communities that have shaped this district since medieval times. Discover the elegant Agoudas Hakehilos Synagogue, designed by visionary architect Hector Guimard, and learn about the waves of Eastern European immigration that revitalized Jewish identity here. Walk past historic storefronts and hidden corners that echo with stories of daily life, faith, and connection, and reflect outside the powerful Mémorial de la Shoah, a moving tribute to memory, loss, and resilience.
Continue your journey to Montmartre, where art and identity intertwine against a backdrop of creative revolution. Once a haven for pioneering artists, this hilltop district reveals how Jewish voices contributed to shaping modern art and culture. Follow in the footsteps of figures like Amedeo Modigliani, Marc Chagall, and Max Jacob, whose works and lives were deeply influenced by the spirit of the city. Wander through charming streets once filled with studios and lively cafés, where ideas flourished amid both inspiration and challenge. Conclude your walk at the stunning Sacré-Cœur Basilica and nearby Square Louise Michel, where sweeping views of Paris offer a moment to reflect on a journey rich in heritage, creativity, and enduring legacy.

This tour was my favorite thing we did in Paris (and that's saying a lot, because Paris was fabulous, as always). Flora is so knowledgeable-- there was no question that she could not answer expertly. The tour felt very balanced-- we learned about French Jewish history but also today's diverse community, and covered topics both happy and sad. I learned a lot and would definitely book another tour next time I'm in Paris.

We went with Flora and Eight others on a wonderful tour of Le Marais last month. The tour encompassed everything from an examination of the facade of Notre Dame to a bakery in the Marais to a jewel of a synagogue. Flora is bright, kind and engaging. At a time when cities and countries throughout the world are rejuvenating antisemitism, Flora and her tours serve as a reminder of what a wonderful gift Jewish culture is to any society and rebuking those who are rediscovering their capacity to hate.

A superb experience! We did the three hour Jewish walking tour on Tuesday and two hours of Jewish highlights at the Louvre on Wednesday. Flora is incredibly easy to be with: she is kind, incredibly knowledgeable, easy to be with, and a great teacher. The time flew by quickly as she walked us through La Marais. We learned so much and had such a wonderful time. Wednesday’s Louvre opening was delayed by the strike, so we literally stood in line with her for 105 minutes - and loved it!! Once we going. She took us to highlights to beat the crowd. She knows all the tricks and how to personalize trips. And we feel like we made a friend. We are very grateful!!

Very much enjoyed our Jewish Walking Tour of Le Marais despite on & off rain that day. Our tour guide, Benjamin, was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable of the history of Le Marais. Benjamin skillfully reviewed the history, while mixing in the contemporary vibe of the neighborhood. Very informative and worthwhile.

Our walking tour with Livia was fascinating and enjoyable. The small size of the tour made for an intimate experience - easy to hear everything, ask questions and to keep together as a group. Livia was impressively knowledgeable about Parisian Jewish history, from long ago to the present and she filled her presentation with interesting facts and stories. The information about France’s much-delayed acknowledgement of the extent of its active complicity with the Nazi’s deportation of Parisian Jews was particularly illuminating. Five stars!

the walking tour was nice , initially we had a difficulty in recognizing the guide since the walks in Europe told me that the guide will have a orange flag at the meeting point , the guide but didn’t have as he was not aware / not told so , hence I called walks in Europe to confirm the guide as I heard scammers are common in Paris ( sorry to say ) , it took 10 anxious minutes in the process , they could have prepared in a better way , otherwise the guide mr Thomas was nice/ apt/ good about the tour , the historical context and about places in la Marais related to Jewish history he elaborated well , visiting the shoah memorial was a solemn moment , hope the world cherishes humanity and equality , merci

I am beyond grateful to have had Flora’s assistance planning a DREAM trip for my family. We were nervous to travel to Paris with our youngest children, including a 13-year-old in a wheelchair with sleeping issues (among many other challenges), but Flora and her guides made sure we had the most AMAZING trip ever. All our guides were fantastic. We could not have asked for more hospitable, warm, and amazing group helping us enjoy Paris. All Flora’s work helping us put together an itinerary, book tours, and plan everything made it a success! Flora is a responsive, knowledgeable, and lovely person! We will miss Paris! Hope to be back soon. Dix étoiles!
