Arrived for Afternoon Tea service. Extremely personable and warm server, Ellen, made sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. The setting and food were all picturesque. Been to another famous afternoon tea (FM at RE) that disillusioned me of the whole experience, food and tea. The Orangery restored everything you’d hope an afternoon tea experience to be - an unforgettable afternoon of bliss.

We visited for afternoon tea and had a wonderful experience thanks to our server, Manos. He was very kind and patient even though my English wasn’t perfect, and he recommended a great tea. He also took lovely photos for us! My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary trip to London, and Manos helped make it truly special. Thank you so much, from the Korean couple who visited on October 20th

A quiet cafe/restaurant situated in the Kensington Gardens. From what I understand this cafe/restaurant has a long history and was closed for a very long time, it was reopened a few years ago. However the menu is slightly different. Apparently they use to have delicious orange cake, which is no longer on the menu. Nevertheless, this place is the perfect place to have tea and chill after a stroll round the gardens. Weather was lovely the day we visited, and we sat outside to get the most out of the end-of-Summer weather. The price is not cheap, they offer proper tea set but it's almost 100 pounds....we weren't that hungry so we had 2 pots of tea and a lemon tart to share. The tart was very delicious for both looks and taste, the teas were good teas too, you can tell it's not just the regular teabag tea. The entire experience was very pleasant and the staffs were friendly. Pricing is high buy the food standard is high also. I would it's a luxury hotel standard. If you're looking for a posh English tea experience, this is definitely a good place to go to.

We attended the Orangery on a weekday afternoon in September for afternoon tea. We were very particular about being nicely dressed for the occasion, but on arrival we felt that the venue offered a more relaxed atmosphere than most other tea salons. Some of the guests there were people that had been out for a walk in Kensington Gardens and had come in for tea, cakes, etc. The afternoon tea itself was very pleasant. There was the usual selection of finger sandwiches, egg, ham, salmon, cucumber, and a delightful coronation chicken wrap. The scones were a perfect size, not too big, not too small. However, I did feel that the quantity of jam and clotted cream for two people was a little meagre. I am sure it would have been perfectly fine to ask for more. The tea was perfectly delicious and hot, served in individual teapots to which we both drank two pots each! The dessert was a little hit and miss. The orange puff had an unusual taste in one of them & the Lemon and Elderflower cake tasted odd. We weren’t fans of those two. However, we were given (what the waitress explained) was a vegan Victoria sponge as well as a regular Victoria sponge. They both tasted quite nice. Overall, the experience was delightful. I think it very likely that we would return to the Orangery for afternoon tea again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited The Orangery while at Kensington Palace myself, my wife, and our child and it was a lovely experience. One of the great things is that they serve halal afternoon tea, which was ideal for us. The portions were quite small (as you’d expect with afternoon tea), more of a nibble really, but everything was nicely presented. The chai vanilla tea was outstanding — definitely my favourite part. The scenery and atmosphere were very pleasant, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy the experience. Yes, it’s on the pricey side, but given the location and setting, that’s to be expected. The service was excellent — very accommodating and attentive. Overall, I’d still rate it 4/5. A nice place to visit, especially if you’re at Kensington Palace.
