Where Croissants Get Their Groove Back Walked in expecting a decent pastry. Walked out wondering if I’d just eaten the croissant equivalent of a jazz solo. The Everything Salmon Croissant is what happens when brunch decides to dress up and flirt with you. Cream cheese, red pickled onions, capers, and that everything seasoning all tucked into a croissant so flaky it probably ghosted someone last week. It’s not just delicious. It’s emotionally complex. Then came the mini strawberry matcha croissants. Tiny. Pink. Strawberry-sweet. They taste like springtime got a job in fashion and started dating a pastry chef. I ate one and immediately considered quitting my responsibilities to become a full-time croissant critic. The staff? Absolute legends. Warm smiles, quick service, and zero judgment when I asked if I could legally marry a baked good. They made me feel like I belonged there, even though I was clearly having a spiritual experience over laminated dough. Unregular Bakery might be the name but the joy is suspiciously consistent. If you’re on 4th Ave and not stopping in, you’re doing Manhattan wrong.

I looked at their menu online before coming and was pleasantly surprised they had a few other vegan options in the shop. I got the vegan chocolate croissant and vegan boston creme bombolone with almond creme filling. The bombolone was definitely the best of the 2. It was squishy and delicious in every way and not too sweet. Just perfect and filling! I’ll definitely come back.

Unregular Bakery was hands down the best bakery experience we had in NYC. The pastry display looks absolutely insane, and everything tastes just as good as it looks. We tried the croissant pudding, the K Bueno, and a cappuccino — all were amazing. The employee recommended we warm up the croissant pudding, and even did it for us — it was exactly what I had been craving after so many disappointing bakery visits in NYC. On top of that, he was super friendly, and you can really see how passionate he is about the bakery and pastries. We’d 100% come back to try all the other goodies.

While exploring the city, we stopped into unregular bakery for an afternoon treat! They had a fun variety of bombolone and croissants that we don’t see often back home in CT. The Bombaspritz, k bueno croissant, and Dubai chocolate bombolone were all delicious, and the lattini is such a cute idea! The staff prepared everything quickly, and it was decorated nicely here. It was a nice spot to kick back for a while, and I’d definitely come back again the next time I’m in the area!

I happened to stop by just by chance, and the place had a unique vibe. The place was full of desserts that were visually appealing. I tried the pistachio scone, which was delicious, and the strawberry mini croissant was a bit sweet, but it went well with coffee
