This tour was absolutely wonderful!! Especially as it being my first time in Scotland, Fiona was wonderful and funny. She was also quite informative about this history of Scotland and Edinburgh. If I come again I will definitely book with them again!!!

We went on a tour of Edinburgh Castle with John this past Friday and it was wonderful. He's a charming tour guide with a great combination of humor and knowledge. He shared so much about Scotland and Edinburgh, not just the castle. And even though it was crowded on the Royal Mile (first Friday of Fringe) he led us expertly around and through the crowds. He even told a story about David's Tower on the spot when my son asked about it. Highly recommend!

We took the Edinburgh castle tour today with EDI tours. Our tour guide John was very warm, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We were highly impressed with his knowledge of Scottish culture, topography, industry, and history. He kept us engaged with stories about the Scottish Royal family and its relationship of convenience with the English Royal family over the course of several hundred years. It was also very interesting to learn as to how the Edinburgh castle was built and how it transformed from being military post to home of Royal family. It was also impressive to learn that originally the castle was not intended to be the home of a large army however due to evolving circumstances, it landed up housing many more troops than planned. It also served as a hospice my surprise, the castle also served as a hospital during war times. John available to us for any questions we asked of him and he offered many knowledgeable suggestions. All in all we had an amazing time and it is all because of John. We we were very happy with our experience with EDI tours and we highly recommend them.
