This was one of our first restaurants upon arriving in Alfama and it left a great first impression! The seafood here is so delicious. We tried the octopus salad, steak and the grilled sardines. The patio is pretty cute and luckily we were early enough to score a table during lunchtime. For dinner I believe they put more tables out on the square so more people can fit outside.

Location: In the historic Alfama district – great for a traditional experience. Restaurant: Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Food: Average taste, portions are relatively small. Music: Fado is present, but the performance is rather ordinary. Price: Very high for the food and music – around €100 for two people.

We were staying in the Alfama area, and while exploring the neighborhood, decided to stop here for dinner. We experienced amazing service, our waitress Mahek was so friendly and very attentive. We observed her as she cleaned up tables, and helped some older patrons leaving the restaurant, she went above and beyond to take care of the restaurant’s patrons. At the end of the night we were served a cordial, and the owner came to the table and gave us a round of port wine. Amazing experience at this restaurant, will plan on going back. Highly recommended
