We visited in March and joined a small walking tour. Murals stacked down side streets like open pages in a giant book—politics, play, portraits. The guide knew the artists and the stories, which turned “cool walls” into something we kept talking about over coffee.

It was not as great as expected and it is not safe for tourists, we often had a bad feeling during our walk and the art did not really convince us, so we cannot recommend the place

What a wonderful way to brighten up the urban environment, narrate and show off talent. Ever changing as a City permit is issued to the artist, permission gained and often sponsors for the paint. The visual-scape can change and evolve as the permit lasts for 6 months before someone else can renew

We love this. There are formal tours, but we wanted to find it and do it ourselves. So the street art paintings are not *one after the other*, but rather every coupe of houses / walls have the most beautiful paintings - done bt SA and International artists. Some of the paintings are on the *border* of Woodstock, on the Salt River side. It is called the Cat and Mouse walking route, to find all the beautiful paintings. So, on the pavement, you will find the cat and mouse painting signs. It is safe to do this route. We normally park in Albert street and walk from any place, to search for the paintings. If you don't have time, or are not familiar with the environment - rather take a formal tour. A lovely half day

Such epic Street art in Woodstock, you walk around and get an education and goosebumps at the stunning art you see! It will be best to get a guide, more safe and walk in numbers in the morning! Be vigilant!
