From the moment we started discussions with Pauline and Rodney picked us up at the airport, we knew we were in good hands. He was warm, funny, and just instantly put us at ease. You know how some guides feel “official” and distant? Rodney was the complete opposite: kind, informative, and genuinely fun to be around. We were smiling and laughing the whole day. We did the Cape of Good Hope tour, and honestly, it couldn’t have gone better. It felt like everywhere we went, Rodney knew everyone: other guides, site employees, vendors, you name it. Watching him chat and joke with people all along the route made the experience feel so much more local and alive. It’s one thing to see a place; it’s another to feel like you’re part of it for a day. Every stop was a highlight: watching the penguins at Boulders Beach, standing at the Cape of Good Hope, taking in the views from the lighthouse, and grabbing those incredible photos at Chapman’s Peak. We had an absolutely amazing tour with Gabriel. He is a fountain of knowledge on the history of the Cape and communicated the timeline of key historical events in a logical structure with clockwork precision.
