This hidden gem, nestled on the slopes of the majestic Mount Merapi, offers a thrilling blend of history, nature, and adrenaline. The bunker itself, built as a shelter from volcanic eruptions, is a fascinating piece of engineering—cool, dimly lit tunnels that transport you back in time while educating you about the region's volcanic activity. The guided tour was top-notch; our guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and shared incredible stories about past eruptions and survival tales that gave me chills (in the best way!). The surrounding landscape is breathtaking—lush green forests, panoramic views of the volcano, and fresh mountain air that invigorates the soul. We even got to explore nearby lava flows and take some epic photos. Accessibility is great with well-maintained paths, and the entry fee is super affordable. This place offers a serious yet fascinating glimpse into the power of Mount Merapi. Bunker kaliadem is a historical placebon the slope of Mount Merapi which was built to protect people during volcanic eruptions but sadly, two people died there in 2006. Now, it's a tourist spot where we can see bunker, enjoy view of the volcano. It's a must visit place.
