Highly recommend this tour. We did a 3D2N tour from Surabaya to Bali covering Mt Bromo and Mt Ijen. Susan, our guide, was fantastic, along with our driver Novi. The Mount Bromo sunrise was spectaular, although beware its very chilly before the sun is up! (Im talking 3 layers, a jacket and a wooly hat and still cold!). The hike up bromo is cool but very easy- it took less than an hour. Novi our driver was great at taking slight detours en route to go to places we wanted to visit. The coffee stop after Ijen was a particular highlight as we tried some great coffee and some local delicacies/snacks! Strongly recommend sleeping in the car due to the early wake ups. Mount Ijen was a more challenging hike (but if you dont like walking you can pay someone to take you up in a wheelbarrow!) The route down to the crater with the blue fire gets very crowded so would recommend getting there as quick as you can. The sulfur is INTENSE! Susan our guide was really helpful and gave us gas masks eye goggles and the blue fire is incredible. Our clothes stank of sulfur afterwards so defo make sure you wear clothes you arent planning to rewear again on your trip! Overall trip was amazing and we learnt so much about javanese culture from Susan and Novi who were so kind and helpful. Bali Java tours were fantastic. Theywere very communicative and helpful. The pick up from Surabaya was very easy and everything was planned excellently. The choices of homestay were fantastic - some of the best we've ever stayed in. The car was comfortable and it was great being dropped off directly at our hotel in Bali. Our guide, Susan, was an absolute gem and made the trip so enjoyable. Our driver, Novi, was fantastic and a barrel of laughs! They both went the extra mile to make our trip memorable. The price is also excellent for what we got. I would recommend the homestay trip as the rooms were fantastic and the people we met along the way unforgettable. Overall, a highly recommend trip and trip organiser.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the fantastic 3-day tour package we recently enjoyed with your company from January 11th to 13th, 2024. Everything was exceptionally well-organized, and we had a wonderful time exploring the beauty of Bali. Our tour guide, Wayan Didi, was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, always eager to answer our questions and share fascinating insights about the island's culture and history. The included lunches were delicious, showcasing the vibrant flavors of Balinese cuisine. However, we did find the Jimbaran Seafood dinner to be a slight let-down. Some of us found that the seafood, particularly the crab and prawns, were undercooked. We hope you can address this issue in the future to ensure all guests have a truly enjoyable dining experience. Overall, we highly recommend Bali Java Travel to anyone looking for a well-planned and informative tour of Bali. We will definitely consider booking another tour with you in the future. We also want to express our appreciation for Niluh for always being there with us throughout the trip and making sure my family was well taken care of.

Did a 3-day trip to Bromo+Ijen. Our guide was amazing, he taught us lots during our drives. He took tons of cool photos for us and helped guide us at our own pace. We even got to stop by a waterfall before checking into our first hotel. 10/10!!

Back in November 2019, we did a 3D/2N tour with Bali Java Holidays and I can only recommend the tour and the company. They were great professionals, kind and everything was done as advised. I have to say that I was very sceptical to make a payment in advance online to Indonesia, but everything went perfect. We paid a small amount to make the reservation and they offered secure payments such us PayPal or TransferWise. They picked us up in Surabaya train station, drove to Bromo area, visited a Waterfall (I would not include it though, this comes as extra, and the road to the waterfall was closed). The next day we could see an amazing sunrise in the Bromo Sunrise Point. Then drove to Ijen area to do the trekking at midnight. We were able to see the blue fire, one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever lived. After that, they transfer us to the boat and then drove us to Bali. Our guide and driver were very friendly, always asking us what we wanted to do. They provided water at all times and brought us to typical Indonesian restaurants, always asking what our preference was. If you are thinking about going to Indonesia, you cannot miss this tour.

Bali Java Holidays was recommended to us by friends and it was a perfect match. We wanted to go from Yogya to Bromo and Ijen and then further to Bali. On their website, we found a four days trip with a private driver including guided visits at Prambanag and Borobudur. We had some special wishes (e.g. a drop of at Amed in Bali instead of Ubud), which was no problem for them at all. The communication, the booking process and the payment have been perfect. We never had to wait more than two hours for a reply. Also the organization (schedule, no delays, communication, information, paying process) and the equipment (cars, hotels, gas masks for Ijen, headlamps) have been very good. Safety was always first! And the drivers and guides have also all been amazing. Our driver was Dimas, a very smart, nice and secure driver. We had a lot of fun together and we learned a lot from him. He made us try all kind of indonesian food - Yummy yummy! He also took photos from us and send it via WhatsApp, great service. At Bromo, we‘ve been guided by Iwan, the big boss himself. He is also a great person and took a lot of wonderful photos from us. He is very talented and he knows the best spots. At Ijen, we had the chance to be guided by the young and experienced Rihyan. He knows so many things about volcanism and Ijen, it’s been a great pleasure to do the trip with him! He brought us to the ferry and to Bali at the end where we‘ve been picked up and safely and comfortably been driven to Amed by the very nice Mister I Dewa Gede Winata. In Banyuwangi, we had the chance to meet Susan, who is perfectly organizing the tours together with her colleague Riyan. Both are also very professional and very nice people. Summing up, we can say that everything was perfect before, during and after our trip - A very professional company with wonderful staff and guides! We strongly recommend Bali Java Holidays and will come back on them for sure! Thank you very much, Iwan, Susan, Riyan, Dimas, Rihyan and Mister I Dewa Gede Winata.
