The tour guide was nice. Explained the basics about the temple. The exact info, as required for tourists. The place is well maintained. Helpful staff. However signage for exit may get a little tricky, if you wander around.

Go early. Even on the 0830 entry, we were all sweating. You obtain their required footwear to climb the temple. They also give you a bag for your footwear and a small bottle of water. Grab a tour leader number and wait for your number to be called. Our guide "Kenny" was informative and conscientious. He had us stand in the shade, sit during certain times, suggesting taking photos on the less crowded side. The foreigner entrance price is high. I just hope they use the proceeds for upkeep. I took a star off because they charged for entrance to the museum and for carts back to the exit.

Borobudur Temple is truly an amazing destination. I really enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and the beautiful scenery here. The facilities are also very modern and well-managed. However, I found a navigation issue. The area is so vast that we had a hard time finding our way, and the signposts from the parking lot were not very clear. My suggestion is that it would be very helpful if the management could provide map brochures in the parking area or at the ticket counter. That way, visitors can explore more easily without getting lost. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience!
