This comprehensive tour begins at the Accademia Gallery, where your expert guide will delve into the fascinating history of Michelangelo’s David, one of Florence’s most iconic symbols. You’ll uncover why this masterpiece is so much more than a sculpture, exploring its profound significance during the Renaissance and the incredible genius of Michelangelo. Learn how Michelangelo managed to infuse David with such emotional depth, and gain insights into his other famous works, like the Pietà and the Prisoners, which appear to struggle free from their marble confines.
After the guided portion of the tour, you’ll have free time to explore the gallery at your own pace and enjoy a relaxing lunch not included.
The second part of the tour is a captivating walking journey through Florence’s historic heart. Stroll through the city’s rich history as your guide reveals the secrets behind two millennia of Florentine culture. Visit key sites such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery courtyard, and explore the architectural marvels of Brunelleschi’s Dome. From Canada- my first time in Florence. I loved this tour. I learned so much. very informative. lovely kind and brilliant guide. thankyou

We had the radio and everything and were just about to go in to the museum when my partner realized he had misplaced his ticket. Nobody would do anything to help us even though we had an email confirming it etc it all meant nothing. The tour guide and the people at the museum were so unkind it really broke my heart and totally ruined our trip to Florence.

We had the tour of the Uffizi with Irina, which she did with a lot of enthusiasm. We learned a lot from her and had a lot of fun! I can recommend this tour with a clear conscience!

We took the tour of the Galleria dell'Accademia with Olga Emchenko and can highly recommend it. Olga captivated us with her enthusiasm for art history and shared many interesting details about Michelangelo and his work, including his famous work, the David statue.
