This guided experience invites visitors to explore the hallowed halls of one of the world's most significant spiritual sites. As you walk through the nave, you will encounter the profound artistic legacy that defines this iconic landmark, which serves as a testament to centuries of architectural evolution and faith.

Your journey continues deep beneath the basilica into the Papal Grottoes, a solemn space that houses the final resting places of numerous popes throughout history. This subterranean exploration provides a unique perspective on the Vatican's heritage, allowing guests to connect with the figures who shaped the course of Western civilization. The quiet atmosphere of the grottoes offers a stark, reflective contrast to the ornate beauty found in the main basilica above, creating a balanced and deeply moving historical narrative.

Throughout the tour, our expert guides provide detailed commentary that brings the rich tapestry of the basilica's past to life. You will learn about the master architects and artists who contributed to its design, from the stained glass windows that filter light into the sanctuary to the whispered prayers that have echoed here for generations. Every corner of this magnificent structure holds secrets waiting to be unveiled, ensuring that your visit is both educational and profoundly immersive.

Prepare to be enraptured by the unique history of the basilica as you uncover the stories hidden within its walls. This tour is designed for those who appreciate the intersection of art, architecture, and history, offering a comprehensive look at one of Rome's most enduring treasures. The visit to Saint Peter's Basilica was a must see, especially during special religious days or events. The wait line to get in was long, but it moved fairly quickly. Security was easy to get through. Once in the Basilica you will be struck with beautiful and awe at the size, splendor, and beauty of the space. Every wall is decorated. The dome is absolutely beautiful. Even though there were many people inside there was a dedicated space for personal prayer near the front of the alter. There is so much detail and history within the walls of Saint Peter's and the Vatican. I would most definitely recommend anyone to visit Vatican City and step into the Basilica.

Awesome and powerful!!!! The artworks and architecture leave you feeling inspired and uplifted! This place is so holy. You feel the power of God here. The building itself is an architectural marvel, and the inside is filled with incredible works of art. It’s definitely worth the trip to see it, you will be amazed. If you can handle many stairs, it is definitely worth it to go to the top of the dome. There’s an elevator to take you halfway up, but you’ll have to climb the stairs the rest of the way and it’s not an easy climb. However, the view from the top is breathtaking and you can see the entire Vatican City and Rome. Be prepared for large crowds of tourists everywhere inside and outside! I went on a weekday during off-season and it was still packed. Loved all the artwork of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! All glory to God! Amen!

Amazing basilica. Definitely worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Amazing arhitecture, artwork, sculptures, paintings. Incredible view from the top of the dome, if you visit the basilica be sure to not miss out if you are not afraid of higts, and you are not claustrophobic because the way up tends to take you through narrow stair ways. It's an amazing place, one of a kind in the world at this magnitude. Buy tickets in advance.
