General Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made through NowThingsToDo.com, operated by Thingstodo Worldwide Ltd. By accessing our website, using our services, creating an account, or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use our website or make a booking through NowThingsToDo.com.
1. Cancellation Policy — 24-Hour Rule
Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly stated on the product page, booking page, supplier terms, voucher, or confirmation email, all bookings made through NowThingsToDo.com are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy.
This means:
- bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be eligible for a refund;
- bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable;
- no refunds will be issued for late cancellations, late arrivals, no-shows, missed departures, unused tickets, unused vouchers, or failure to attend.
Once a booking is confirmed, seats may be kept, spaces may be reserved, suppliers may be paid, tickets may be issued, attraction entry may be secured, or other arrangements may be made on your behalf. For this reason, bookings cancelled after the applicable cancellation period cannot normally be refunded unless expressly authorised by NowThingsToDo or the relevant supplier.
Some products, attraction tickets, events, transfers, special offers, supplier-confirmed reservations, or time-slot bookings may be non-refundable from the time of booking. Where this applies, the booking will be treated as non-refundable once confirmed.
This cancellation policy does not remove any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law. Where a customer is legally entitled to a refund because a service was not provided, was cancelled by the supplier, or was not supplied in accordance with applicable law, those rights will be respected.
2. Fraud Prevention, Identity Verification and Suspicious Transactions
NowThingsToDo takes payment security, customer protection and fraud prevention seriously. We reserve the right, at our reasonable discretion, to review, pause, cancel, refuse, or refund any booking or transaction that we consider suspicious, unusual, high-risk, potentially unauthorised, or potentially fraudulent.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- unusually high ticket quantities;
- multiple bookings using the same card, device, IP address, name, phone number or email pattern;
- mismatched customer and payment details;
- suspicious or unusual email addresses;
- repeated failed payment attempts;
- bookings made shortly before the activity time;
- suspected unauthorised resale;
- suspected ticket touting;
- suspected chargeback abuse;
- suspected use of stolen, unauthorised or compromised payment details;
- unusual location, device, IP, or payment behaviour;
- any other indicator of possible misuse, fraud or payment risk.
Where a booking or transaction is flagged for review, we may require the customer to complete additional verification before tickets, vouchers, booking confirmations or supplier confirmations are issued or honoured.
Verification may include requesting one or more of the following:
- a copy of a government-issued photo ID or passport;
- a recent photograph or selfie of the person named on the booking;
- a photograph of the person holding their government-issued photo ID or passport;
- a photograph containing metadata showing that the photo was taken within the previous 12 hours;
- proof that the person making the booking is authorised to use the payment method;
- confirmation of the cardholder name and the last four digits of the payment card used;
- any other reasonable information required to verify the booking and protect against fraud.
For security reasons, customers must never send full payment card details by email, message, upload, or any other method. If card verification is requested, the customer must cover or redact all card numbers except the last four digits and must cover the expiry date, CVV/CVC security code and signature panel.
NowThingsToDo will never ask a customer to provide their CVV/CVC security code by email, message or upload.
Where we request a photograph with metadata, the customer must provide the original image file where possible, without editing, screenshots, filters, compression, or removal of metadata. If the metadata is missing, altered, inconsistent, or does not reasonably confirm when the photograph was taken, we may treat the verification as incomplete.
Verification documents must be provided only through the secure method requested by NowThingsToDo.
Any personal data provided for verification will be used only for fraud prevention, transaction verification, payment dispute handling, legal compliance, security and related business purposes. It will be stored securely, accessed only by authorised personnel, and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
If a customer fails or refuses to complete a reasonable verification request, or if the information provided cannot be verified, NowThingsToDo may cancel the booking and refund the transaction, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
3. Prohibition on Unauthorised Resale
Tickets, vouchers, booking confirmations and activity reservations purchased through NowThingsToDo are for the personal use of the named customer and their travelling party only, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Customers may not purchase tickets, vouchers, bookings or confirmations for:
- unauthorised resale;
- ticket touting;
- commercial redistribution;
- fraudulent use;
- chargeback abuse;
- misleading third-party sale;
- resale outside authorised channels;
- any purpose not permitted by NowThingsToDo or the relevant supplier, attraction, operator or venue.
Where we reasonably believe that a booking has been made for unauthorised resale, fraudulent use, chargeback abuse, or any other improper purpose, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, refuse ticket issue, refuse redemption, notify the supplier or attraction, and provide relevant transaction details to payment processors, card schemes, banks, fraud-prevention partners, law enforcement, regulators or competent authorities where legally permitted.
4. Refunds for Suspicious or Fraudulent Transactions
Where NowThingsToDo cancels a booking because we reasonably believe the transaction is suspicious, unauthorised, fraudulent, abusive, or made for unauthorised resale, we may refund the original payment method instead of issuing tickets, vouchers or booking confirmations.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may deduct from such refund any reasonable, direct and unavoidable charges or costs incurred by NowThingsToDo as a result of processing, reviewing, verifying, cancelling, refunding or disputing the transaction, including:
- banking charges;
- payment processing charges;
- supplier charges;
- chargeback fees;
- fraud-screening costs;
- currency conversion costs;
- administrative costs.
This clause does not affect mandatory consumer rights. Where a customer is legally entitled to a full refund because a service was not provided, was cancelled by the supplier, or was not supplied in accordance with applicable consumer law, NowThingsToDo will not use this clause to remove or reduce those rights.
5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers should contact NowThingsToDo first if they believe there is an issue with a booking, payment, ticket, voucher, refund, or service.
If a customer raises a chargeback or payment dispute after receiving a valid ticket, voucher, booking confirmation, supplier confirmation, or service, NowThingsToDo reserves the right to provide evidence to the relevant payment processor, bank, card issuer, card scheme, supplier, attraction, operator, fraud-prevention partner, or dispute-handling body.
This evidence may include:
- booking records;
- payment records;
- ticket delivery records;
- voucher delivery records;
- voucher redemption records;
- supplier confirmation records;
- customer communications;
- email delivery logs;
- IP address;
- device information;
- payment information;
- verification records;
- metadata submitted by the customer;
- attendance/check-in records;
- CCTV, entry scans, or redemption information where available and lawful.
Where a chargeback or payment dispute is found to be false, abusive, dishonest, or inconsistent with the booking records, NowThingsToDo reserves the right to reject future bookings from the customer, block the customer’s account or payment method, and take any further action available under law.
