Derek was an absolutely wonderful tour guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He truly knows his way around Ireland and has an incredible talent for uncovering hidden gems — secret, less touristy places with views and an atmosphere that are simply unforgettable. He knew exactly when to visit each location during off-peak times, which allowed us to really immerse ourselves in the culture and history without the crowds. From niche pubs to meeting local business owners, Derek gave us such personal and authentic experiences, always sharing great stories along the way. There was never a dull moment throughout our 7-day trip. Derek was extremely accommodating with our dietary preferences, planned everything excellently, and was always punctual. Our family of five had an amazing time in Ireland, and so much of that is thanks to Derek. Just look at the pictures we took. We couldn’t recommend him more.
Derek was an absolutely WONDERFUL guide! We provided him with a tentative itinerary, and he tweaked and provided feedback to curate a fantastic adventure based on our interests and travel dates. He was incredibly professional, kind, thoughtful, and steeped in knowledge. He took us to so many off the beaten path sites, restaurants, pubs, and local people sharing their crafts and stories. A truly memorable experience that we never could have pulled together on our own. We are already planning our next Irish trip and will absolutely be using Derek again - could not recommend him more!

We were fortunate to have the privilege of having Derek guide us across Ireland, from Shannon to Dublin. His insight and experience were invaluable and allowed us to experience the country in a way that would not have been possible on our own. He knows the best places and times to go to the various sights, the “secret” ways to have the most private experiences possible, and the best restaurants and pubs (and each one’s best dishes) at each stop along the way. The drives between each location were filled with knowledge and anecdotes, and we most appreciated the obvious love he has for his country and his time spent sharing that with us. Several weeks later, we’re still not sure if the hardest part of the trip was leaving Ireland or leaving Derek!
