Karen (who was not a Karen at all) was wonderful! Super nice personable. She was knowledgeable about the city & the food. The origin stories for all the treats were also fun, as were the extra tips of other great places to eat and drink at around the city.

I think James did a great job. He was very knowledgeable of the area. He didn’t skip a beat when there were distractions. I will definitely do another tour. He mentioned a Rocky tour that I would love to go to
Christina

James was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge about the city and its little secrets.
Kristin

David was a fantastic guide. Great details about not just the amazing food but fascinating history, culture, and stories of Philly. Loved all the food but our favorites were the inari, tahini shakes, and of course, the cheesesteak!
Julie

Chuck was so personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the history and enjoyed all the food! We were stuffed!
Latika

It was fun to explore the food and know the historical context. I really enjoyed the reading market experience. Our guide Chuck also told us other trivia about the city.

We signed up for a Philly food tour and ended up on a flavor rollercoaster hosted by the one and only Karren, who I’m now convinced is part guide, part historian, and part stand-up comedian. From the first bite of cheesesteak to the last heavenly crumb of tomatopie, every stop was a home run. Karren didn’t just feed us—she fed our souls. Her knowledge of Philly’s food history is insane (in the best way), and the way she tells stories? Let’s just say if Netflix doesn’t give her a special soon, they’re missing out. She managed to make the tour feel like a casual hangout with a bunch of friends—except we were constantly eating, laughing, and learning. I think I gained 5 pounds and 10 new facts about pretzels. Worth it. In short: book this tour, wear stretchy pants, and prepare to rate it a 25/10 too. Karren, you’re a legend.

Steve our guide was amazing! We loved the historic references he made to many of the sites on our tour. As a family who live in Philadelphia, we enjoyed learneding new things about our city. This was a belated Father's Day gift and a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Only a couple of hours. Well worth it! Strongly recommend if you enjoy food, history and getting your daily steps in!

This tour was great! I am a local and I brought my parents. They loved hearing about the history and the unique food. Our tour guide, Kaitlin, was perfect! The tour only being 45 minutes was perfect for my parents. And after having the overview of the tour we were able to pick a few things we wanted to have for lunch after the tour. It was a really great day and one that I know my parents will remember for a long time.

Karen gave a great tour. This was our first visit to Philly and she really gave us a “taste” of the city. We sampled classic foods like soft pretzels, tomato pie and of course cheesesteak. For desert we sampled made-from-scratch Amish doughnuts and delicious chocolate chip cookies. Best part was Karen giving us a lot of history about the food and architecture along the way! I would definitely recommend this tour to sample deliciousness of Philly.
