Felix was an amazing tour guide. A lot packed into one day, but that's what makes it worth the higher price tag. tour was very professional, safe, and enjoyable.
Todd was an amazing guide. We felt like he was an old friend showing us around his hometown. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone had the best time possible. We saw lava flows! Todd knew exactly where to get the best spot for viewing the activity. We really enjoyed the pit stop on the way back when he brought out his telescope and showed us the moon and Saturn!
We did the Big Island Grand Circle Island Tour with Wasabi tours and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, Derek S., was so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, funny and kind! We were so impressed by his knowledge of the island, the Hawaiian culture and language, and so many interesting points of interest that we hadn’t heard of or read about before. We saw so many turtles on the black sand beach. The volcano’s national park was gorgeous! Derek showed us the unique phenomenon of Pele’s hair that occurs during an eruption. The stops at the falls were so beautiful too. We really felt that Derek planned the trip perfectly, maximizing our time to the fullest. We could not have planned this better on our own.
What an amazing day! Beautiful sights, we got a great overview of the island and our tour guide DREU was the cherry on the top! He kept us on time and was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about history and folklore. He also injected so much humor into the day and did several special things to make this like no other tour I have experienced. Mahalo!
This was the best trip! Better than I imagined. The island is a very unique place and the volcano was a must see. Our tour guide was Mia who is a native islander. You could tell she was proud of her island and spoke with enthusiasm about the “Big island”. It was super informative and very comfortable travel. They pick you up on time in a Mercedes Benz sprinter van. Food, drink and snacks provided. Even rain gear. They take excellent care if you. It’s about 12 hours so it’s a long day but you will not regret seeing all the beautiful sites and learning about the history and the beautiful people. Joined Wasabi Tour online for two days trip. One day explored all different waterfalls in big island. One day Volcano Park and Stargazing. We had the most wonderful experience and it was a good way to start our honeymoon. Both tour drivers at the same time tour guide, Derek and Toddy. They are both so knowledgeable and know the island so well, introducing to us like hometown, we got to know Hawaii’s history, language, food and people. Both tours were small groups, one day was 6 people, one day was 9 people. Derek is so fun and accommodating, made the whole day even on the road so fun, we never felt bored. We got to swim in the private waterfall, water was so clear a little chill but not too bad. Stargazing was amazing, I never seen that many stars in my life, you just simply looked up, you owned the whole sky. Toddy even showed us how to use the telescope to watch Saturn, Vega. It is a must-do activity once in a lifetime.

The Big Island Grand Circle Island Tour was awesome! We had the pleasure of spending the day with our fantastic guide, Henry. With a tour that lasts about 10 to 11 hours, having someone engaging, knowledgeable, and interactive made all the difference and Henry delivered on all fronts! As first-time visitors to the Big Island, we were blown away by how much we learned about Hawaiian history and the unique geography of the island. It was truly eye-opening to discover so many fascinating parts of the island that you’d never see if you just stayed at the resort. From waterfalls and dramatic volcano landscapes to the stunning black sand beach and charming small towns, it was like experiencing several worlds in one day! What really made the trip special was the cultural insight we gained. There’s such a deep, rich history behind everything here, and learning about it made our visit so much more meaningful.
