High-Energy Whitewater Rafting Adventure Launches in Denali Canyon

A new whitewater rafting experience is offering thrill-seekers an adrenaline-filled journey through the Nenana River Canyon near Denali. The two-hour excursion is designed for beginners and experienced adventurers alike, requiring no prior rafting experience.

The route begins near the entrance of Denali National Park and covers 11 river miles through fast-moving waters toward Healy, Alaska. Along the way, participants navigate more than ten major Class III to IV rapids, including well-known stretches such as Razorback, Iceworm, Cable Car, Royal Flush, and Coffee Grinder.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Mt. Healy, rising more than 3,000 feet above the canyon, the trip offers a striking combination of natural scenery and high-intensity river action. The rugged landscape enhances the sense of adventure as rafters move through one of Alaska’s most dynamic waterways.

Guests can choose between guided oar rafts or paddle rafts, both led by experienced river guides to ensure safety throughout the journey. Full drysuits, river booties, and safety equipment are provided, making the experience suitable for participants aged 12 and older who are prepared for an active outdoor challenge.
