great app for those who want to go around Bangkok like a local. they also provide travel pass for tourists that you can use all day long and it gives recommendation for places to visit (temples, tourist spots, mall, and viral places). there's also option for pick up and drop off from your hotel. very affordable and easy to use.
Transiting en route to Chennai from Siem Riep through Bangkok at Suvarnabhumi Airport, 11am landing and 9.45 pm boarding for next flight, looked for options to tour the city. Chanced on the cheapest and “maybe” most user-friendly (based on reviews) option at around $10 or Rs 900 per person per day and decided to give it a shot. Rushed through immigration where they stamp your passport to exit the airport with no fuss and a cheap portal in the basement to store your hand baggage, it was a breeze to catch a cab and go to Tha Maharaj in the city. Tuk Tuk Hop connects so beautifully on WhatsApp chat- their operators are so prompt and kind and their App is so well-designed and a breeze to use. I didn’t realize how seamlessly it operates till we took our first ride. All I had to do was follow the payment link and pay with a credit card for 6 - folks that had tagged on from similar flight schedules thinking I’d navigate the process. The App has a map and you can input where you’d like to go and like any other transport App it tells you where and when the next Tuk Tuk would come. Surprise- they not only show up promptly, the App also signals them to send a 6-seater….Wow!!!! All you do is use your App and scan the code on the Tul Tuk. It drops you off and you can do whatever you want at the destination till you decide to move and input the next destination and so on. Drivers are all polite, friendly, and wait for you for pick-up. You don’t need to know language or anything, all you need is a working cell phone and Tuk Tuk operators and their App does the rest. It was the most exhilarating experience and we discovered so much of the city as this transport weaves you in and out of all the littlest spots in the city. Hats-off to whoever designed this App and their friendliest and most helpful operators. I’m going to recommend them to every visitor to Bangkok whether it’s for a day or longer.
I found this service while looking for a simple and easy way to see many sites in a short period of time. Had half a day for sightseeing because I was in Bangkok for work. The Tuk Tuk Hop was well worth its price. Everything was great. No hassle, short waiting when booking, super nice drivers. Everything paid for in advance is such a relaxing feeling. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Could not recommend them more. 👌
