Two-Day Black Sea and Danube Delta Tour Showcases Romania’s Coastal Heritage and Natural Wonders

A two-day guided journey from Bucharest is offering travelers an immersive exploration of Romania’s Black Sea coast and the UNESCO-listed Danube Delta, combining ancient history, coastal architecture, and unique wetland ecosystems. The itinerary connects Constanța’s urban heritage with the untouched landscapes of one of Europe’s most biodiverse regions.

The experience begins in Constanța, Romania’s oldest continuously inhabited city, founded in antiquity by Greek settlers. Visitors explore the Old Town and key landmarks such as the Roman Mosaic Edifice, the Museum of History and Archaeology, and the statue of poet Ovid, which reflects the city’s deep historical ties to the Roman world. Additional highlights include the Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Great Mosque built during the reign of King Carol I, the Genoese Lighthouse, and the Minaret Tower, which offers panoramic views over the city and the Black Sea.

After a full day of cultural exploration, the journey continues toward the Danube Delta, where guests spend the evening in a tranquil natural setting. The following day features a boat excursion through the delta’s complex network of waterways, part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its exceptional biodiversity, including pelicans, herons, and egrets, as well as extensive aquatic life. Travelers also visit the Letea Forest, famous for its subtropical vegetation, sand dunes, and free-roaming wild horses.
