Discover the beauty of Porto’s right bank on this relaxing journey along the Douro River all the way to the sea. The tour begins in the historic riverside neighborhoods of Miragaia, Massarelos, and Lordelo do Ouro, then continues to Foz do Douro, a charming area that became part of Porto in the late 19th century. Here, you’ll admire the lovely gardens designed by German architect Emílio David, known for his work on the Palácio de Cristal gardens. The route follows the scenic Atlantic roads of Brasil and Montevideo avenues, reaching Matosinhos, a lively seaside district known for its beaches and seafood.
Next, we’ll cross the Leça River and the Port of Leixões to visit the coastal town of Leça da Palmeira, famous for its white-sand beaches and ocean views. Near the lighthouse, you’ll see one of Portugal’s architectural masterpieces the Boa Nova Tea House, designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira and now home to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The tour ends further north at Castro de São Paio, an ancient Iron Age settlement built on rocky cliffs by the sea. This unique archaeological site features remains of a fortified village and the small Chapel of São Paio, offering a fascinating glimpse into Portugal’s early history surrounded by stunning coastal scenery.

Excellent product and even better service. I bought wheels and tyre for a campervan. I dealt with Tony who understood very well what was needed and offered helpful advice on what would look best when installed. I had to cancel the appointment at the last minute but was accommodated very quickly too suit my schedule. Have since travelled over 1000kms on the wheels and everything is perfect. Tony's recommendation for a large wheel has meant noticeably better stability in our 25ft camper. As I said, he has the experience to match his knowledge. I cannot reconcile the bad reviews with my experience so would have to question their authenticity.
Don’t go near route 66 I got my wheels “powder coated” 1 year ago and one started to bubble, I gave it back to them and they repaired it.. a month later it started to peel where they “repaired” so I went back again and they sprayed the wheel… a different shade of grey! I went back again and they tried to match it but they couldn’t! So I got my wheel back like this! As seen in pictures complete disaster and an absolute disgrace! They are not “powder coating” any wheel just spraying the faces and barrels, they say the tyres come off but they don’t! They offered to do all 4 wheels again to match the one wheel, but I had enough of them messing me around to have to do this all over again a year later!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I got my wheels refurbished at Route 66 and after the warranty expired the lacquer started to bubble on every wheel. My car is wrapped so no harsh chemicals used. I see other people here have had the same experience. Unfortunately Tony did not want to entertain his bad workmanship. Another company said this should never happen, the process was done wrong or the quality of materials were not appropriate for wheels.
Very happy with my experience. Great service, highly recommend. Got help choosing alloys and tyres to my specification and they look a lot better in person then they did on the website. Prices are competitive especially with tyres and fitting. The team fitting the new alloys were extremely friendly and accommodating specially that I was nearly 4 hours late.
