Completing my Gold DoE with Social Nature Movement was possibly the best experience of my life to date. To Hailey, Reegan, Chris and our rafting instructors Kate and Joey, and of course Gray - thank you for shaping our journey with flawless dedication and engagement every step of the way - please pass on my gratitude to everyone involved in our camp! The core memories my group and I made on this trip will remain with us forever, from the breathtaking scenery of the Clutha River, to Hailey and Reegan rescuing us from the inclement weather with a car full of hot chocolate and Tim Tams, I will never forget the people I met and memories I made during this trip. Chris is an amazing leader and organiser, and I can confidently say I am inspired to move to New Zealand one day following this experience! I hope to see more of SNM in the future and perhaps one day our paths cross again. Once again, thank you for everything!

This was one of the best tramping experiences Ive ever had. I needed an adventurous trip for my bronze duke of ed award and this trip tramping ticked all the boxes for me and is surely a very memorable trip that I will hold close to my heart. Our instructor, Ryan Nairn, made sure everything ran smooth and according to plan despite the windy weather. This trip didnt only help me get out of my comfort zone and explore but was also extremely fun with the new students I met and with our instructor. Thank you SNM for an unforgettable experience :).

I did the Kiwi night walk alongaide the glamping option with Hailey, our guide. What a fantastic experience - well above my expectations. Hailey was super knowledgeable and engaging. We were able to spot 5 kiwis during the walk, and another two while driving back to the campsite. The tenta are super spacious and comfortable, in a nice area close by the beach. I could not recommend this tour more!

This was such an incredible experience. At night, you’re kayaking in complete calm — the water is still, the night is peaceful and quiet. And then, suddenly, you touch the water and it lights up with an unbelievably bright blue glow. It’s something you’ve never seen before in your life, and it’s absolutely mesmerizing. Our guide also shared fascinating stories about the stars and the microorganisms living in the water. It was all so interesting — truly a captivating experience. I would definitely do it again.

Ok, want to start by saying really I would have liked to have give a 4.5 but we can't do half star ratings. Took part in two activities with SNM with the glamping add on. Legend, our tour guide, was absolutely brilliant and gets a 5-star rating. He was able to help us spot 11 kiwi and taught us so much about the kiwis and the night sky. The only criticism was that communication about the glamping could have been better. The tents are set up 2 hours before the tour but we weren't told where it would be set up on the campground and there was no sign outside the tent. Luckily we were the only glampers that night so we were able to find it beforehand. The second activity we did was the Bioluminescent Kayak Tour at Waiake Beach. The area was really calm so the kayaking was very family friendly. Our tour guides, Chris and Legend, did a great job getting everyone prepared and out in the water. The bioluminescence wasn't super strong that night (nature's fault not SNM's) but we were definitely able to see a good bit of it, learned a bunch from Chris who lead most of the tour, and still had a great experience. Overall, we were really happy with both experiences and will definitely book again the next time we are in New Zealand.
