We joined the half day Rafflesia tour with Kithan and really enjoyed it. The tour includes pick up and drop off from/to your hotel. Kithan was very informative and knowledgeable, also it was easy to communicate through WhatsApp to arrange the tour. Rafflesia Tour: It took approximately 1 hr. to reach the start of field from Tanah Rata by an off-road car. Then, with another local guide from the region, we started to walk in the forest. Thanks to the guide, we could see different Rafflesia flowers on different stages from bud to death. The time we spent on the forest was 1:45 hr. (including walking back to car and taking photos time). It really depends on your pace, normally you could do it faster, however make sure you spend enough time to admire the flower. We would like to thank for flexibility. Walking is not difficult, however wear steady shoes, the floor is sometimes rocky, muddy, slippery etc. There are some wooden sticks to walk with, if you need. Also I recommend long sleeved clothes. Rafflesia trekking is one of the best activities in Cameron Highlands, there are also many other interesting plant species in the forest. EcoPeak is fully recommended! They also have different tours, check if you want one!
We went on this trip as a family of four. Honestly, we were a bit hesitant at first since we have two young kids (5 and 7 years old), but it turned out to be absolutely splendid! Despite being quite an adventurous journey(especially for the kids)we had so much fun. We were lucky enough to see the Rafflesia, the biggest flower in the world! Our tour guide was incredibly helpful and shared so many interesting facts along the way. It was truly a memorable trip and a priceless worldschooling experience for the kids.
Really enjoy the tour, guide Khitan is very professional explaining the history of BOH and all the tea knowledge to us. Love the mossy forest even though short distance but learn a lot of information from our guide. Highly recommended .
It was a nice experience trekking on the mossy forest. But I was in the wrong outfit for the forest trekking. Walking for several hours inside the forest it was kinda crazy scary because you don’t know was is danger inside but the total trekking was amazing and it was even raining and muddy.
