We had an incredible tour with Jai. He was very knowledgeable about Ipoh and its history. He took us around the local sights and paced the tour really well - not rushing and ensuring that we rested from the heat in local cafes when it was super hot. He was also great at managing our allergies and taking us to a local restaurant that was suitable (and so tasty!).
As a solo traveler it was difficult finding a tour that would take me through the Cameron Highlands and I was fortunate to find Jaies Chauffer Service and Tour Assistant to host me for the day. Rajan was my tour guide and took me to all the sites and tailored to my interest as the day progressed. Rajan was prompt in starting the day, told interesting facts and stories about the history of the area. We beat the crowds with an early start and he helped with taking photos and knew where the best views of the sights were. In the morning, we went to the tea fields, spice/flower garden, a plant nursery with cool cacti, stopped to explore and discover local fruits and vegetables that look similar to ones back home but are different on the inside. We enjoyed a banana leaf lunch, which is best enjoyed eating by hand (there are utensils if preferred). Then we headed to a second tea plantation and were able walk through the fields to the Tea Valley sign and then made our way to a relaxing waterfall with a refreshing treat at the end. It was a wonderful day with beautiful weather and a lovely and personable tour guide. Highly recommend for anyone interested in exploring the highlands, this tour is not to be missed. If you're a solo traveler this is definitely a day not to pass up.
Had an amazing day trip around Ipoh with our fantastic guide, Rajan! He brought us to explore beautiful cave temples, the stunning Mirror Lake, and the iconic Kellie’s Castle.
