Visited with: 4 and 9 yrs old children. 2 adults. Duration: About 2 hours for the guided tour. Adventure Element: We were given small flashlights (one per two people), making the trip feel like a real cave adventure. The kids were thrilled! Nature Note: Look up! The cave ceilings are full of bats! It was a very cool natural sight. Safety Note for Kids: The tour involves swimming in very dark caves. If your children are afraid of the dark or water, a different, open cenote might be better. Price Shock: We drove there ourselves, not realizing a mandatory guided tour was required. Cost: $50 USD per person (child rate available). Included gear and photo service. Also locker was provided. Photo Cost Change: Be aware that the photo package cost seems to change often. Recent reviews mentioned $40 USD, but we were charged $60 USD for all the photos. When renting gear, they requested that we leave an ID (Driver's License/Passport) as collateral. So don’t forget. Overall Experience: The water was incredibly clear and beautiful. It was a great, unique experience. While the fees are high and management is confusing, if this money is truly used for the conservation of this incredible natural wonder, we are happy to pay it.

Andy was our tour guide and he made the experience top tier! We went in knowing how beautiful the cenotes would be, but we didn't expect a comedy show too! Andy kept us laughing the entire time, educated us on the history of cenotes, and made us feel safe. He really initiated the importance of preserving nature, which is so respectful.

Amazing and surreal experience! The staff met us at the entrance and walked us through the entire process of getting our gear (which was clean and dry). They were all so friendly and wanted to get to know us. We paid $50 per person for the 2 hour tour but you can save $10 per person if you book online 2+ days in advance. We took a taxi there from our resort and it was much cheaper than the transport they offer. However, there’s limited service in the area so we weren’t able to pay the driver with card. They ended up calling a cab for us to return home since we weren’t able to. The tour guide was great and gave the entire tour in Spanish and english. Afterwards we did the tequila tasting and that was also a great experience! Bonus: this is a queer friendly place :)

You can enter the cenote right away, but you cannot bring cameras or smartphones. If you want to buy photos taken by the photographer, it need cost $40.

We loved this place. It was our first time snorkeling in a cave, and we thought it was very cool. The depths get to around 40 feet. There are even some black cave catfish (clarias cavernicola) in this cenote as well! We got lucky with our guide, for he did an amazing job. 🤿
