This three-day tour offers an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of southern Morocco, beginning in Marrakech and crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, you’ll stop to capture breathtaking views before visiting the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou and exploring the film studios and cinema museum in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Hollywood of Africa." The route continues through the beautiful Dades Gorges, where dramatic rock formations and picturesque valleys await.
On the second day, the adventure leads through the palm groves of Tineghir and the towering cliffs of the Todra Gorges, followed by a visit to a fossil workshop in Erfoud. The journey then heads to Merzouga, where you’ll experience the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. A camel ride into the desert allows you to witness the magical sunrise and sunset over the dunes. Amazing 3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech I recently went on a 3-day desert tour from Marrakech, and it was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and unforgettable. The journey itself was well-organized, with a comfortable and spacious vehicle, and the drive through the Atlas Mountains was breathtaking. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, always making sure we were well taken care of, and providing fascinating insights into the local culture and history. The highlight, of course, was the desert experience. Riding camels into the dunes was surreal, and the sunset over the sand was truly magical. Spending the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars was an experience I’ll never forget. The food was delicious and hearty, and we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff. Each stop along the way offered something unique – from the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah to the Ouarzazate studios, every location was a visual feast. I felt like I was stepping into another world, with stunning landscapes and fascinating architecture. Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Morocco in a way that’s both adventurous and culturally enriching. The experience was worth every penny, and I can’t wait to return!
