Verona is a remarkable city that has evolved over two millennia, seamlessly blending artistic influences from each era it has lived through. Its rich history is evident in the many monuments and structures that have shaped its identity, particularly the strong Roman presence that still marks the city. Additionally, Verona was once the home of the influential Scaligeri family, further adding to the city's historical significance.
Upon arrival in Verona, the bus will drop you off at a designated parking area, followed by a short 10-minute walk towards Piazza Bra. As you cross one of Verona's picturesque bridges over the Adige River, you’ll begin to glimpse the charm of the city, offering the perfect opportunity for a photo as you enter the historic center.
Your adventure continues with a 90-minute guided walking tour, led by a local expert. Equipped with headphones, you'll be guided through some of Verona’s most iconic sites, including the famous Arena, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza Erbe, and Juliet’s House. You’ll also visit Castelvecchio, the Scala family tombs (Arche Scaligere), and the Pietra Bridge, each telling its own story of the city’s rich past.
After the tour, you’ll have around two hours of free time to explore Verona at your own pace. Wander through its charming streets and alleys, discovering Romanesque buildings and modern avenues. Don’t miss the chance to stroll along Via Mazzini, one of Italy's most elegant shopping streets, where luxury boutiques and high-end fashion brands attract both locals and visitors alike.
Before leaving this beautiful city, make sure to capture lasting memories with a few photos in front of the Arena, and perhaps with a typical Roman symbol, the Praetorian, as a final souvenir of your Verona experience.

Valeria is a superb guide. We did a 3 hour walking tour through Verona with her. She taught us a compact version of nearly 2000 years of the city's history using visual clues from its architecture. I can highly recommend her.

I first heard about Verona Tours when Valeria was speaking on a podcast that i listen to weekly. I knew immediately that i needed to meet Valeria and book a wine tour. Valeria managed a tour for six in our group. The tour exceeded our expectations and the surprise lunch was delightful. Valeria even worked out a pasta making demo with the restaurant owners Aunt. The food was so delicious you could hear “Yums” all around the table.

Lorella was a delight! We had a wonderful day walking (& eating) around the spectacular city of Verona with her. She shared with us her knowledge as well as her love of the area. This tour has made us want to come back and stay longer.

Our three hour walking tour of Verona with Lorella was hugely engaging and informative. With humour and the lightest of touches Lorella gave us a wonderful insight into the history and culture of the city, linking its history to the wider national and European context. She has a wealth of knowledge and we greatly enjoyed our time with her. Highly recommended.

We were delighted with our guide Valeria. She is a great communicator and shared her deep knowledge of Verona and its history in an easy manner and linked the different historical periods of the city in a fascinating way. Last but not least , she is funny and very perceptive of her customers interests and needs. We are very grateful to Valeria for an unforgettable tour.
