Nestled in the serene countryside near Ostuni, where the rich red earth meets the silver-green canopy of ancient olive trees, a 16th-century masseria offers an intimate journey into the heart of Puglia. Surrounded by the vast, untouched landscape of the Coastal Dunes Regional Park, this lovingly restored farmhouse stands as a testament to centuries of tradition and sustainable practices. Once a rural estate, today it serves as a haven for travelers seeking authenticity, history, and the rich flavor of Puglia’s prized extra virgin olive oil. Your experience begins with a guided tour through the masseria, where you’ll explore the historic courtyard, rooms, and the fascinating hypogeum olive press—an underground space carved into the rock, once used for pressing olives in cool, natural surroundings. As you walk through the ancient olive groves, you'll encounter trees that have stood for generations, each one telling the story of the land and the people who have cared for it. Led by expert olive oil sommelier Lucia Leone, your experience culminates in a technical tasting of four distinct organic extra virgin olive oils produced right on the estate. This tasting is a true education in olive oil, guiding you through the flavors, aromas, and nuances that define exceptional oils. Lucia’s insightful commentary will teach you how to identify different characteristics in olive oil and how to pair each one with your meals to enhance their flavors. With a deep focus on the history and techniques of olive cultivation—from ancient Roman methods to modern, sustainable practices—you’ll leave not only with knowledge but also a newfound appreciation for one of Puglia’s most treasured products. Whether you're visiting during harvest or in the warmth of summer, this experience offers a chance to connect with the land, taste the history, and understand the true essence of extra virgin olive oil.

We took the Olive grove tasting and tour. Really well done, informative, fun, and a great tasting the end.

Olive orchard and ancient milling tour was very informative and engaging - our guide was an 8th-generation family owner. He graciously shared lots of cultivation ideas and milling history with our group. Very interesting! We all loved the tasting at the end of the tour - well worth the trip

Fantastic! Mid winter we were fortunate to have a wonderful & informative tour. Astonishing place! I have recommended it to many friends. Would love to return in fall & stay for a few nights.

One of the most amazing parts of our trip through Puglia was this tour! So interesting and informative. I feel like an expert;) There's a 3000 year old olive tree that is waiting for your photo op. Go!

We did the farm and olive grove tour and tasting. It was very good and informative. Our guide spoke excellent english and was able to answer any questions. The grove is fairly level and seeing olive trees planted by the Romans, and earlier people, was amazing. A portion of the tour goes underground to the ancient crypt where the olives were pressed. This portion of the tour would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. The blind olive oil tasting was very fun and educational. Well worth the price. There was no sales pressure to purchase the product but there was a small store.
