What really stood out was how easy he made it to stay focused, I felt completely immersed in the tour, hanging on to every word he said. He took the time to answer questions thoughtfully, made sure everyone could hear and follow along, and had a real gift for storytelling that made the ruins feel alive and relevant. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Pompeii. The pick up was on time. Unfortunately, for where we were based, it created a long journey to the site. Not the company’s fault. Paulo the driver, was friendly and efficient. Francessa, our guide, was very informative in an amusing way. She was completely honest about only seeing about a quarter of the site, but after 2 hours of uneven footing, it was enough for us. We arrived at opening time and it was busy, when we left later, it was heaving. Definitely wear comfortable footwear and take plenty of water. Beware of mosquitoes and try and get a day with cloud cover.
