Embark on a fascinating journey through the ancient and vibrant city of Naples, a place where myth and history intertwine. According to Greek legend, Homer’s Odyssey recounts the tale of Ulysses resisting the deadly allure of mermaids, including Parthenope, who, upon being ignored, threw herself into the sea and washed ashore on the island of Megaride—today home to the Castel dell’Ovo—giving Naples its ancient name, Partenope. With over 3000 years of history, Naples is truly an open-air museum, having witnessed periods of immense wealth and power as well as hardship, yet it remains a city full of life and renewed hope. This comprehensive tour covers three distinct areas, beginning with a scenic drive along the seaside and up to Posillipo Hill for panoramic views of the city, Capri, and Mt. Vesuvius. The journey continues past Castel dell’Ovo and the old fishing village of Borgo Marinari, then into the monumental heart of Naples, where iconic landmarks like Maschio Angioino, the Royal Palace, San Carlo Theatre, Plebiscito Square, Galleria Umberto I, and the neoclassical Church of San Francesco di Paola stand in architectural harmony. The final segment brings you into Spaccanapoli, the historic center and ancient Greek street plan of the city, where narrow alleys are filled with artisan shops, lively cafes, churches, and entrances to the mysterious underground ruins. This tour is a deep dive into the cultural soul, ancient roots, and ever-evolving spirit of Naples.

If you’re only in Naples for a day or so, this bus is actually a great way to see the city. The staff were all really friendly and spoke excellent English, and the route itself is fantastic, it takes you through Posillipo and out towards the west, giving you some great views and a real feel for the place. The hop-on, hop-off system works smoothly, and while I’ve always avoided these kinds of tourist buses (you see them in every city), I was genuinely impressed. If you’re staying longer, rent a moped and explore at your own pace, that’s the real way to feel Naples. But for short trips? Definitely recommended.

They are scammers, I lost my ticket even though I bought it with a debit card, and they didn’t let me get on the bus. There is another company called Naples. I’m sure they are much better.

Unfortunately, our experience with Sightseeing Napoli was very disappointing and not at all up to standard. At one stop, the driver quite literally shut the door in our faces — the upper hatch was still open — and coldly pointed towards the next bus, which wasn’t due for another 20 minutes. We were left standing there without any explanation or apology. To make matters worse, the timetable at another stop was completely inaccurate. The bus arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled and left immediately, leaving several passengers behind. This is not how paying customers should be treated. The service felt careless, unprofessional, and unworthy of a city as beautiful as Naples. We would not recommend.

This is a great way to explore Naples. The hop on hop off sightseeing bus, with two routes that over lap, one around the centre historic part of Naples lasting about 50 minutes the other is a coastal route lasting about 1 hour 20 minutes with fabulous views over the Golf of Naples, easy, flexible and convenient to use with an audio via ear phones in several languages explaining the sites. Rest your feet and let someone drive you round.

There are 2 lines and there shouldn't be. The red line needs to be combined with blue line and the recording need to be updated. By the time the recording identifies a building you're already passing it and the neighborhood of this tour is not the best. Due to timing we didn't get to experience the blue line which may be the better of the 2.
