My husband and I contacted Danila in regard to retracing his dads footsteps in WW2 during the battle of Anzio. Our trio pretty much coincided with the 75th Anniversary of Monte Cassino so we also joined that tour for 6 days following a private day tour of Anzio. It was a fabulous trip, we learnt so much from her and the other clients on that trip and shared lots of stories and even keep in touch with Danila and other members of the tour group from all over the world. We spent 7 days in total with Danila on this tour plus one day in Roma sightseeing the Vatican and Colosseum which was amazing. Danila was extremely helpful as we communicated with her lots of times prior to arriving from Australia to Italy and she was a great help in securing us tickets for museums and trains. Danila’s knowledge and experience of the Battlefields and local people she knows who can tell us their stories as children bring a tear and is very emotional. What happened back then should never be forgotten and going to visit the grounds, battlefields, monastery, ceremonies and cemeteries with Danila as the guide was something never to be forgotten either. She did an amazing job as many people was over for the 75th Anniversary in May 2019 and at times flexibility was the order of the day but Danila made it happen. If you plan to visit this area, to find the true story of your loved one, to be taken to some amazing food places along the way and eat like Kings/Queens, this is the person for you 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Dr Danila is a knowledgeable and caring guide. We did a two day tour and went to Ortona and Monte Cassino to follow in the footsteps of my grandfather during his time in Italy during WWII. Dr Danila catered the tour to follow where my grandfather's unit path. She provided more than just information. She made the trip come to life with her storytelling and anecdotes and visual aids. It was an emotional journey for me. Dr Danila was sympathetic and kind throughout the whole journey. Dr Danila never rushed us and let us take our time. She explained all the details of where we were and what it was like for the soldiers of that time. Most importantly to me, Dr. Danila took the time to speak and form a bond with my 13 year old son and ensured he understood the details as well. Danila is an excellent guide tour, with deep knowledge of the controversial aspects of the battle of Monte Casino. She did a superb job explaining each of the steps of the battle, took us to an amazing tour of the monastery, the memorials, cemeteries and a spectacular restaurant and demonstrated a detailed understanding of the complexity of the battle. But more importantly, she is a friendly, amicable and respectful person on which I shared the confidence to raise any question and of course I obtained and honest, candid and accurate response. Highly recommend her!!
My son and I were fortunate to book a tour with Danila, our goal being to discover more about my father's experience in Cassino as part of the 100th Battalion.t. We were aware of the heroism of the 100th, consisting mainly of Japanese Americans, but she made it all come alive. One of the highlights was seeing the stained glass window at the Abbey which was donated by the 100th Battalion to aid reconstruction of the magnificent structure. Stops at the War Cemetery, Rapido River, and Sherman tank still standing in the middle of town, as well as sharing a delicious meal with Danila and her driver Gianni, made for memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life.
