Our friend found this private boat tour with Boat Experience and while I had already expected a good time, because of Pasquale, our boat captain, I had one of the best days of my life. Boat Experience stayed in communication with us the entire morning as we traveled from Sorrento to Positano and they arranged for us to be transported to our boat, which was very beautiful. Pasquale was immediately friendly, helpful and took excellent care of us. He is a very capable boat captain, he took us to all of the best spots and then allowed us to enjoy each of them at our leisure. His English is very good considering I only speak a little Italian and my friends speak less to none. He gave us the fascinating history of the many Amalfi Coast cities and shared his love of Italy and his work with us. I cannot recommend enough, saving up for a private boat tour because we got to see and do things that larger boat tours couldn’t offer. And if you use Boat Experience, which I HIGHLY recommend you do, ask for Pasquale. You’ll be a better person for meeting him and spending the day in his care.

He even had an incredible recommendation for a restaurant where we had the best meal we’ve had on our trip. Can’t recommend him and the company highly enough. The tour we chose was a four hour private tour of the Amalfi coast. Doing the private tour was a really special experience because we were able to stop in each place for as long as we wanted to. It really felt like a custom trip that was tailored to us. What’s rare is finding someone like Gennaro and his wife Antonella, who pour their heart into making your time in Positano unforgettable. From the moment we booked, they treated us like family. Gennaro wasn’t just a captain; he was a host, a guide, and a genuinely good human who made sure we felt relaxed, safe, and completely looked after. We booked a 90-minute sunrise cruise on their beautiful 32-ft boat (immaculate and super comfortable), and he graciously extended our time just so we could soak it all in. It was so good, we booked again for the next afternoon for a 4-hour cruise and once again, he gave us more than we paid for, simply because he cares. The boat came stocked with fresh fruit, cold drinks, all the info about the Amalfi Coast history from Gennaro and great energy. It was perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and cruising with music and views that don’t feel real. We also rented a villa through them on Airbnb: modern, close to town, and perfect in every way. It’s called Gema Suites. Their attention to detail, warmth, and hospitality is something you rarely find anymore. It’s newly renovated and very well done, with multiple air conditioning units. Gennaro and Antonella were solely responsible for making our time in Positano amazing, and we can’t thank them enough. If you’re going to Positano, you book with Gennaro. You’ll regret it if you don’t. This isn’t just a boat tour, it’s a core memory you’ll unlock and talk about for years. Trust us, we travel the world for a living, and this was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.
