The cruise then continues to Ashford Castle in Cong, arriving around 1:30 pm. Here, passengers can explore the castle grounds, once the summer residence of the Guinness family, or take a short walk into the nearby village of Cong, famously featured in The Quiet Man. The setting provides a blend of history, film heritage, and picturesque scenery.


Entry to Ashford Castle’s gardens is included, allowing time to relax before the return cruise departs at 5:00 pm. Guests can either enjoy a packed lunch onboard or dine in Cong before rejoining the vessel for a peaceful return to Oughterard, arriving around 6:00 pm.
