Highliy recommend to book by sentra travel, as Ms. Sabda organizes from contact to booking everything with care. The Macan Island with his special rooms and an gorgeous meals is as recommended, as the island hopping tour with snorkelling.
They organize an amazing three days homestay in Pari Island. With very good guide (Angger and Indra), wonderful snortelling, clean home, bike, and a lot of food included.
We booked a 1 night package in Putri Island (Plau Putri) with Sentra Tour. The package was IDR2 million (£104/$130) per person including transportation between Jakarta and the island by a speedboat and full board. The photos of the resort on their website were so beautiful and the accommodation looked good. I was also attracted by a photo of the aqua tunnel to see lots of different fish. However, the reality was far below the photos on their website. Here is what we had: The room: the bedroom was clean but the sink was awful. The tap was not fitted properly and wobbling badly. The worst thing was several rats in the room!! They came from the drain in the toilet and bathroom. I could not sleep at night at all because I heard a rat running around the room. Meal: it was terrible and we were hardly able to eat. Coffee was not drinkable. Also we saw several rats again in the dining area, wondering if there were more in the kitchen!! Facilities: their website showed a beautiful aquarium tunnel but the reality was we hardly saw fish due to dirty glasses with algae, which tells me the tunnel has not been maintained for long time. There was a mini market but it was almost empty, almost nothing to buy for snack or drink. We did not get anything we saw on their website. We asked some compensation for what we experienced but they refused. From my point of view as an ex-tour operator, this agency did not take a responsibility what they sold to us and failed to provide us what they showed us. Rats in the room and the dining area are not acceptable and the resort should be closed until no rats to be seen. Or at least the travel agent should not sell this package. They are using very old photos to attract people and charge premium 4 star accommodation but provide 1 star service. Don’t trust the photos on their website.
A huge scam. We paid 1.8 million per person to go to the thousand islands (pelangi) for one night inc food accommodation and a speed boat. Turns out it is not a speed boat but a regular boat (the program said we would take 1.5hrs to get there but it took 3hrs). The accommodation was filthy and ill maintained. The bathroom was disgusting and the beds had stains. We had paid for an extra bed which turned out to be a matrass on the floor without duvet or extra towel. There were loud quads driving around the island causing disturbance and polluted air, exactly what you want to escape from in Jakarta. In the water there are jellyfish, fish that bite and sea urchins. The food (2x lunch, 1x dinner) was the same each time. Rice with fried chicken and fried fish. It was stale and inedible. We got food poisoning after the first day. We informed the travel agent about these issues and they did not offer any help nor partial refund for how dissapointing everything was. Overall a terrible experience that I cannot recommend to everyone.
