Set out on a charming half-day journey to Szentendre, a picturesque town often called the “southern gate of the Danube Bend.” This guided tour is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Budapest, offering a blend of art, culture, and history. As you stroll through Szentendre’s narrow, cobblestone streets, you’ll discover a town bursting with Mediterranean charm—colorful baroque houses, quaint galleries, artisan shops, and cozy cafés line every corner. Your professional guide will share fascinating stories about the town’s Serbian, Hungarian, and Greek influences, as well as its transformation into a thriving artists’ haven over the centuries. Don’t miss the chance to browse through local handicrafts or taste traditional sweets like marzipan, a specialty of the area.
After exploring the town, you’ll enjoy a relaxing cruise back to Budapest aboard a scheduled public boat. As you drift along the Danube River, admire breathtaking views of the countryside and the city skyline slowly coming into view—a perfect way to end the day. The boat operates every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 1st to October 31st, with the tour concluding conveniently in Budapest city center. On Tuesdays, travelers will return comfortably by bus, ensuring a smooth and scenic trip back. This experience perfectly combines history, beauty, and relaxation for an unforgettable afternoon.

We had the Danube bend excursion, which includes the 3 nearby villages and the experience was amazing from the first minute. We recommend this excursion 100%, because it gives you the choice to see something else beside Budapest. We always felt secure and happy with our guide Maximo and our driver Nikolas.

lovely tour around the village, with some free time to explore and a visit to the marzipan museum.

we took a day trip from Budapest to three nearby towns and we were so lucky with our guide Vera, and she was AMAZING. Vera cared for us, Always counting the group to make sure no one was missing, giving us tips and entertaining stories about the towns we visited. Its admirable her passion for her job. She also taught us some Hungarian words and it was so much fun. We love Vera!!! Super recommended.

On September 12 we took a day trip from Budapest to three nearby towns and we were so lucky with our guide. At first, we were supposed to have someone else, but in the end we got Vera, and she was absolutely wonderful. ❤️ Vera cared for us like we were her own grandchildren. Always counting the group to make sure no one was missing, giving us helpful tips and practical advice, even reminding us where the toilets were (which, let’s be honest, is always useful when traveling 😀). On the bus, she kept us entertained with fascinating stories about the places we passed, first in Spanish and then in English. She even taught us some Hungarian words along the way, and it was so much fun. It was such a special experience, and she really gave the whole trip a warm, family-like atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to have Vera as your guide, you’ll not only get lots of great information but also a big dose of care and kindness. 🌟 Also, always thank your bus driver! This trip wouldn´t be possible without an amazing driver Luigi. A huge thanks to him as well! Please pass on our huge thanks to both of them. Patrik and Zuzka

Szentendre is such a lovely spot. Local artists and standard tourist shops are intermingled in this beautiful historical spot.

It was awesome . Nice village and our guide was helpful. She did good job . Thank you

The service from making the booking to the actual tour was smooth and easy. For it being the first time using a travel agency, they did a great job in communication, time efficiency, and offering great service. We used their services every day whilst in Budapest. Thank you for a job well done!

Such a charming and beautiful town. Transportation was smooth, the guide was very informative and funny, and I got some great souvenirs to take home.

Wonderful. Our guide was the sweetest lady and we had a wonderful time

We enjoyed our Budapest city tour (4 hours by minivan) immensely! Our tour guide Gyuri has a ton of knowledge about the city and presented it in a very interesting way. We were able to ask questions as we went along too. Thank you, Gyuri, for a wonderful half-day in your beautiful city!
